The two youngest Associate Professor candidates of the University of Technology in 2024 are candidate Dao Tuan Anh, member of the Mathematics Faculty Council, and candidate Nguyen Thanh Dong, member of the Mechanical Faculty Council.
According to the application for recognition of meeting the standards for the title of Associate Professor in 2024, candidate Dao Tuan Anh was born in 1987, hometown Van Giang, Hung Yen , belongs to the Mathematics Faculty Council.
Dr. Dao Tuan Anh received his bachelor's degree in Mathematics, majoring in Mathematics Pedagogy - High Quality from Hanoi National University of Education in 2009. In 2011, he received his master's degree in Mathematics, majoring in Applied Mathematics and Informatics from Hanoi University of Science and Technology. In 2020, Mr. Dao Tuan Anh received his PhD in Mathematics, majoring in Differential and Integral Equations from Bergakademie Freiberg University of Technology, Germany.
Currently, Dr. Dao Tuan Anh is a lecturer at the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology, Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
The main research directions of the youngest Associate Professor candidate of Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2024, as stated by this candidate, are as follows: The main research object of the candidate is sigma-evolutionary equations with different reduction mechanisms and corresponding weak pair equation systems. Research directions on these classes of equations include estimating the reduction (optimal) of the solution and the derivatives of the solution for the corresponding linear equation, and describing the asymptotic behavior of the solution; proving the existence or non-existence of the global solution (over time) with small initial data and estimating the maximum time when the global solution does not occur or the explosion phenomenon of the solution occurs.
Dr. Dao Tuan Anh has completed 2 scientific research topics from the grassroots level and above, published 20 scientific articles, including 19 scientific articles in prestigious international journals. The number of published books is 1, of which 1 is from a prestigious publisher. In two consecutive school years 2021-2022, 2022-2023, Dr. Dao Tuan Anh achieved the title of grassroots emulation fighter.

The second candidate is Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dong, born in 1987, hometown Hai An district, Hai Phong city, member of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
Candidate Nguyen Thanh Dong received his bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics, majoring in Physics and Lighting Engineering from Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2010. In 2013, he received his master's degree in Engineering Physics, majoring in Engineering Physics from Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
In 2020, he received his PhD in Information Science and Control Engineering from Nagaoka University of Technology, Japan. From October 2011 to present, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dong has been a lecturer (October 2011-May 2023), senior lecturer (June 2023-present), Precision Mechanics and Optics Group, School of Mechanical Engineering, Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
From September 2020 to present, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dong is a member of the Party Committee of the Forming Deformation - Precision Mechanics and Optics branch. The two main research directions of Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dong are Precision Measurement in Mechanical Engineering: Research on methods of measuring displacement, distance, and rotational axis errors in mechanical drive systems; measurements of dimensions, contours, shape deviations, relative position and direction of deviations and surface quality of mechanical parts. Evaluation of common disturbances and especially cyclic nonlinear errors affecting measurement accuracy; Precision machining technology in mechanics: Precision machining technology in drilling, turning, milling, welding... with ultrasonic vibration support for ordinary steel materials and difficult-to-cut materials to improve machining accuracy, improve machined surface quality and reduce cutting tool wear; Processing technology (drilling, cutting, welding) using laser and especially supporting processing (processing, polishing surface before and after processing) with high power laser.
Candidate Nguyen Thanh Dong has completed 1 ministerial-level scientific research project and 2 grassroots-level projects. He has published 30 scientific articles, of which 10 scientific articles were published in prestigious international journals; has been granted 2 exclusive patents...
In the application for recognition of meeting the standards for the title of Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dong said: "The candidate has worked at Hanoi University of Science and Technology since October 2011. Of which, he spent 4 years as a PhD student at Nagaoka University of Technology (September 2016-September 2020), Japan, and 6 months as an exchange graduate student under the Erasmus Mundus Master's Scholarship Program - Europe at the University of Trento (Trento) and the Legnaro National Laboratory (Padova) (September 2013-March 2014), Italy. During his work, the candidate would like to self-assess that he has met the standards and fulfilled his duties as a teacher well."
