According to the 2024 financial report submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) by Super Hi International – the operator of the Haidilao hotpot restaurant chain in international markets (excluding China) – the chain's revenue reached $778 million, a 13% increase compared to the previous year.

Excluding the Chinese market, Singapore continues to be Haidilao's largest market with revenue of $158.9 million. The US ranks second with $103.5 million, followed by Malaysia with $81.2 million.

Notably, in Vietnam, Haidilao continues to maintain year-on-year revenue growth, from US$75.4 million in 2022 to US$78 million in 2023 and reaching US$87.8 million in 2024 (equivalent to over VND 2,246 billion). With these results, Vietnam contributes more than 10% of Haidilao's total global revenue (excluding China).

Prior to 2022, revenue from the Vietnamese market was not separately accounted for but was included in the "other countries" category in Super Hi International's reports.

Having entered the Vietnamese market in 2019 with its first store at Bitexco (Ho Chi Minh City), Haidilao has now opened 17 branches in Ho Chi Minh City (10), Hanoi (6) and Nha Trang (1).

Over the past year, this hotpot restaurant chain served 29.9 million customers across all markets outside of China, an increase of nearly 11% compared to 2023, with an average revenue of $25 per diner (approximately 640,000 VND), slightly higher than the previous year by $0.20.

Haidilao also boosted revenue diversification with a 15% increase from delivery services thanks to partnerships with food delivery platforms. Simultaneously, operating profit increased by 23.7%, reaching $53.3 million, due to cost reductions and supply chain optimization.

Despite growth in revenue and customer numbers, Haidilao's net profit decreased by 15% compared to 2023, falling to $21.4 million. Super Hi International attributed this primarily to exchange rate fluctuations.

2024 marked a significant milestone for Haidilao as it expanded into two promising Southeast Asian markets: the Philippines and Cambodia. This brought the total number of restaurants to 122 across 14 countries, seven more than the previous year (excluding China).

Southeast Asia continues to be a key market with 73 restaurants, followed by North America (20) and East Asia (19) along with other regions such as the UK, Australia, and the UAE.

With positive business signals, Haidilao is affirming the effectiveness of its global expansion strategy and enhancing customer experience through technology, thereby firmly consolidating its position in the international market.
