Han So-hee and Ryu Jun-yeol have broken up.

On March 30th, Ryu Jun-yeol's management company confirmed that the actor and Han So-hee had broken up. The company did not disclose details or the reason for their separation.

On the same day, Han So-hee also updated her personal blog with an image, but shared no caption. Shortly afterward, her agency confirmed the breakup and apologized for not properly managing the artist.

"Both of them want to be known more for their acting roles. We promise not to waste our emotions on personal matters anymore," Han So-hee's agency stated through Dispatch.

In recent days, the relationship between Han So-hee and Ryu Jun-yeol has been the focus of attention. The incident stemmed from a social media post on March 15th, in which the user claimed to have seen Ryu Jun-yeol and Han So-hee at a hotel pool in Hawaii. At the time, Han So-hee denied dating, while Ryu Jun-yeol declined to comment.

The controversy began with a seemingly cryptic post from Hyeri (Lee Hye-ri), Ryu Jun-yeol's ex-girlfriend. The actress unfollowed her ex-boyfriend and posted a landscape photo with the caption: "So interesting."

Hyeri's post raised many questions. By the afternoon of March 15th, when suspected of interfering in her senior's relationship, Han So-hee spoke out to deny the allegations.

According to Hankyung, on March 16th, Han So-hee posted a lengthy article of over 1,000 words on her official blog. In it, she asserted that she did not interfere in the relationship between Ryu Jun-yeol and Hyeri. Han So-hee emphasized that she had been dating Ryu Jun-yeol since the beginning of 2024, while the actor had broken up with his girlfriend in early 2023.

However, Han So-hee's revelation further fueled controversy. Fans were unhappy that Han So-hee disclosed her boyfriend's private matters to his ex-girlfriend.

Han So-hee lost over 100,000 followers on her social media account after the dating scandal with Ryu Jun-yeol broke out. The actress faced countless criticisms, and several brands terminated their advertising contracts with her.

On the morning of March 29th, My Daily reported that Han So-hee continued to post an open letter denying an affair with Ryu Jun-yeol, but deleted the post after only 10 minutes. The actress also expressed anger at her boyfriend's silence since the scandal broke out, causing her to bear the brunt of the controversy. The 1994-born star also criticized Hyeri's actions.

"They (Ryu Jun-yeol and Lee Hye-ri) broke up last year, saying their final goodbyes and wishing each other happiness and good health. I'm not writing this to reveal anyone's personal relationship history. But I wasn't the one in charge of announcing the breakup as written in your apology," Han So-hee wrote.

"I'm writing this because I don't want to be one-sided, unless I'm an idiot, and I don't want to hurt my fans, supporters, or the CEO and employees of my company," she continued.
