Everyone was happy.
Although she had prepared goods for sale for the three days of the fair (May 15-18), on May 16, Ms. Ngo Thi Thu Van (Nhat Linh Agricultural Service and General Business Cooperative in Tien Canh commune, Tien Phuoc district) had to urgently call her family to bring more down.
"Luckily, Tien Phuoc is nearby, so the goods arrived in time for the customers; they bought them so quickly," said Ms. Thu Van. After 3 days of the exhibition, Ms. Van's sales exceeded 12 million VND.
Similarly, at the Le Anh bakery (Dien Nam Trung ward, Dien Ban district), everything was sold out by the evening of May 15th. By the morning of May 18th, Ms. Le Thi Anh (owner of Le Anh bakery) had to call home seven times to request more goods to sell, each time more than 10 kilograms of various types of cakes.
In total, after 3 days, Le Anh's sales revenue reached nearly 15 million VND. This is a promising figure considering each package of cookies only costs a few tens of thousands of VND.
The 2025 Quang Nam Province OCOP and Agricultural Products Exhibition, organized by the Department of Agriculture and Environment, took place from May 15-18 in Tam Ky City, attracting nearly 150 booths showcasing OCOP products and typical agricultural products from Quang Nam and Da Nang . Most vendors were pleased with the high sales figures.
Ms. Ho Thuy Ngan from Ngoc Linh Forestry and Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (Tra Mai commune, Nam Tra My district) affirmed that, compared to other places, sales at fairs held in Tam Ky city are always twice as high.
At this exhibition, in addition to her main product, ginseng soaked in honey, Ms. Ngan also sold medicinal products from the forest such as wild bananas, bitter melon, and Ganoderma lucidum mushrooms… “Almost every fair held in Tam Ky sells out, so everyone is happy,” Ms. Ngan said.
Customers understand the product.
According to a representative from the Department of Industry and Trade, the reason rural products and OCOP products are always successful at fairs held in Tam Ky is because their quality and brand have already been established.

Furthermore, most rural products and OCOP products in Quang Nam are made from natural ingredients, possess high quality, and have unique characteristics, thus gaining consumer trust. In particular, reasonable prices also increase their attractiveness to customers.
"Of course, we cannot ignore the promotion and marketing of these products. Through numerous strong trade promotion and introduction programs from relevant agencies and local authorities, consumer awareness of the value of rural products and OCOP products has been raised," a representative from the Department of Industry and Trade analyzed.
During the three days of the event, the organizers also implemented several trade activities and live streaming sales on TikTok, helping many businesses, cooperatives, and producers introduce their products and reach customers quite effectively.
Ms. Tran Thi Kim Lien, owner of Kim Lien Tea business, revealed that in just one short livestream sales session, 60 orders were finalized. More importantly, she connected with two distributors in Da Nang City. Preliminary statistics from the organizers show that, over nearly three days of the exhibition, the average daily revenue per booth was approximately 5 million VND, while booths with higher-value items such as agarwood and cereal powders generated sales of 7-10 million VND.
According to Ms. Pham Thi Duy My, Director of Duy Oanh Green Agriculture Cooperative (Duy Xuyen), the main factor creating the "sudden surge" in consumption at fairs held in Tam Ky is that people here and in neighboring areas have understood and are aware of the quality of OCOP products.
In particular, they also understand the community element in each product because they are produced by cooperatives or production groups, so when buying OCOP goods, in addition to peace of mind, consumers also feel that they are supporting the development of the local community.
"Generally, the combination of product quality, reasonable prices, spacious trading areas at fairs, and effective marketing strategies has helped rural products and OCOP products sell well at fairs held in Tam Ky," said Ms. Duy My.
