Specifically, on the evening of June 11 and early morning of June 12, Vietnam Airlines had to cancel 14 flights between Hanoi and Da Nang due to bad weather. In addition, two flights VN7167 and VN7165 from Hanoi to Da Nang had to divert to land at Cam Ranh or return to Hanoi because they did not meet operating conditions at this airport.

At the same time, 7 flights to Da Nang had to wait, causing a chain reaction that caused 32 other flights to be delayed from 20 minutes to 1 hour and 5 minutes. In addition, at Phu Bai airport (Hue), bad weather also affected operations, many flights arriving and departing had to wait or depart late.
In order to respond promptly and ensure the safety of passengers and crew, Vietnam Airlines has proactively adjusted its operating plan. On the afternoon of June 12, the airline plans to increase flights and arrange wide-body aircraft on the Hanoi - Da Nang route to serve affected passengers.
A representative of Vietnam Airlines said that the airline regrets having to change operations due to unforeseen weather factors and hopes to receive sympathy from passengers. Flight times may continue to be adjusted according to the development of the storm. Updated information will be announced by the airline via the media and contact information in the passenger's booking records.
Due to the impact of storm No. 1, many flights to the Central region were canceled.
"Currently, the 2025 storm season has begun, which may change passengers' travel plans and affect airlines' punctuality. However, the aviation industry always puts operational safety first, in which absolute safety for passengers and crew is the number one priority. Vietnam Airlines recommends that passengers fasten their seat belts throughout the flight, especially in complex weather conditions. Proactively fastening seat belts, even when the signal light is off, is an important measure to help minimize risks if the aircraft encounters air turbulence," added a representative of Vietnam Airlines.
