A series of electric poles in Thanh Hoa were broken and scattered after the storm.

(PLVN) - Thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds on the afternoon of June 16 caused a series of electric poles in Thanh Hoa province to collapse.

At around 4:30 p.m. on June 16, heavy rain and thunderstorms swept through Thieu Ly commune (Thieu Hoa district) and Dong Hoang commune, Thanh Hoa city, knocking down many trees and electric poles on the 22kV medium voltage grid from Thieu Hoa district to Trieu Son district.

According to statistics from Thanh Hoa Electricity Company, 19 electric poles 9-15 m high were broken, most of the poles were broken horizontally at the joints. About 500 households had local power outages.

Immediately after the incident, Thanh Hoa provincial authorities conducted an inspection, assessed the damage and deployed remedial measures.
