A series of OpenAI leaders quit, will join Altman to form a new company

Former OpenAI president Greg Brockman, who said he left OpenAI following Altman's firing on Friday, is expected to join the project.

Several researchers at OpenAI, including Szymon Sidor, have also left the company because of the CEO change, but it's unclear whether Sidor and others will join Altman's new alliance.

Altman and former Apple design chief Jony Ive have discussed building a new artificial intelligence (AI) hardware device, the Information reported in September. At the time, it was also reported that SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son would also be involved.

As we know, the board of directors of OpenAI, the company behind the popular chatbot ChatGPT, suddenly fired Altman on Friday. Co-founder Brockman also left immediately after Altman was fired.

Backed by billions of dollars from Microsoft, OpenAI kicked off the creative AI craze last November by releasing ChatGPT, which has become one of the fastest-growing software applications in the world .

Altman is an entrepreneur and investor. He has been a prominent face of OpenAI in particular and AI technology in general over the past year, constantly appearing in newspapers and leading events about this hot technology.

Therefore, many opinions say that CEO Altman's sudden dismissal when OpenAI was at its peak and continued to have prospects for further development was a "betrayal".

Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt has called Altman a "hero" and said: "He built a company from nothing to $90 billion and changed our shared world forever. I can't wait to see what he does next."
