This morning (March 21st), at the Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural Center located in the Ho Chi Minh City National University Urban Area (No. 1 Luu Huu Phuoc Street, Dong Hoa Ward), the Ho Chi Minh City Student Youth Festival officially opened. Kicking off the festival's activities was a running race that attracted thousands of students.
The program is organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural Center in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Student Union, the Dormitory Management Center and the Ho Chi Minh City National University Urban Area. This is a key event commemorating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2026) and is part of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Festival (Youth Fest 2026).

The festival, held over two days, March 21st and 22nd, offered more than 50 diverse activities in fields such as academics, culture and arts, sports , skills development, and community activities... with the aim of creating memorable moments for students in the city.
Specifically, the environmental protection activities series themed "Flowers and Trash" will take place from February 1st to March 29th, with key activities such as: a recycled fashion contest, a product design contest promoting environmental protection, and in-depth workshops on circular economy and waste treatment technology. In particular, the community event "Exchange Trash for Trees" and the green market will provide students with the opportunity to directly participate in practical environmental protection solutions…

In addition, to ignite energy and a sporting spirit, the festival brings together vibrant activities ranging from arts to modern sports. Students will have the opportunity to participate in the Student Dance Group Festival and the Citywide Club, Team, and Group Festival.
The festival also features a city-wide student sports competition with a variety of physical and sports activities for students. The festival will include exciting student sports tournaments such as football, karate, tug-of-war, table tennis, and Go, combined with a physical fitness test to find and honor the "Healthiest Student" title. In keeping with the trends of young people, the festival will also organize challenges at the 11th Student Esports Tournament with two disciplines: Liên Quân Mobile and FC Online.

At the event, the organizers placed special emphasis on caring for and supporting students by awarding large-scale scholarships totaling over 1.1 billion VND.
