Thousands of business households found the solution after the Workshop "Abolishing lump-sum tax: What do business households need to prepare?"

Hanoi, August 26, 2025 - The workshop "Abolishing lump-sum tax: What do business households need to prepare?" was jointly organized by the Vietnam Tax Consultants Association (VTCA), MISA Joint Stock Company and Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank (VPBank) attracting the participation of tax authorities, financial and accounting experts, press agencies, and nearly 3,000 business households to follow online. The event affirmed the urgency of the transition from lump-sum tax to declaration, providing timely answers to the business household community.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Quang Khai - Deputy Director of MISA Retail Solutions emphasized that eliminating lump-sum tax is both a challenge to change habits and an opportunity for business households to be transparent about their financial obligations, have more favorable conditions to access capital from banks, easily cooperate with businesses, participate deeply in the value chain and affirm their reputation in the market.

Opening the program, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Former Director of the Department of Propaganda and Taxpayer Support shared about the new tax policy for business households and individuals according to Resolution 68-NQ/TW on private economic development. Accordingly, the resolution directs the elimination of lump-sum tax for business households by 2026 at the latest; electronic tax collection initiated from cash registers; abolishment of business license fees; encouragement of converting business households to operate under the enterprise model. A notable new point is the elimination of lump-sum tax for households, aiming to create equality in tax regime between business households and enterprises, while ensuring transparency in business household operations.

According to Ms. Ha, previously, Decree 70/2025/ND-CP amending and supplementing Decree 123/2020/ND-CP also stipulated that invoices and documents require business households with revenue of 1 billion VND/year to use electronic invoices connected to cash registers from June 1, 2025, creating a premise for millions of business households nationwide to gradually abandon the lump-sum tax payment method. In the context of a series of new tax regulations, Ms. Ha said that business households need to proactively understand their legal rights and obligations in business activities, have a deep understanding of the legal consequences of non-compliance, determine what to do themselves, what to hire services for (electronic invoice services, accounting services, tax agency services); proactively integrate, adapt, and develop in the new business environment.

To support business households and individuals in complying with tax regulations and electronic invoices according to Resolution 68-NQ/TW and Decree 70/2025/ND-CP, Mr. Nguyen Quang Khai - Deputy Director of MISA Retail Solutions introduced a solution set for sales management - electronic invoices - tax declaration specifically for business households. This solution set was developed by MISA with the goal of helping business households manage comprehensively, effectively, easily deploy, fully comply with tax regulations and optimize costs.

For small businesses, MISA has developed the MISA eShop Business Sales Management Platform to help businesses manage all sales activities, issue invoices, declare taxes, etc. on just one application and with just one smartphone. In addition, the integrated artificial intelligence (AI) solution helps sellers place orders by voice quickly and easily.
