Towards the goal of building Ca Mau people who are "humane, affectionate, creative, and civilized"

That was the direction of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai at the conference to summarize 25 years of implementing the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" in Ca Mau province for the period 2021 - 2025 and activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2, taking place on the afternoon of October 14. The movement “All people unite to build a cultural life” is a large-scale political and social movement, aiming to mobilize the strength of all people in building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity. The core of the movement is the spirit of “Solidarity - Culture - Humanity - Development”, contributing to the successful implementation of the Party’s Resolutions on building Vietnamese culture and people.

In Ca Mau province, the movement quickly spread and permeated every hamlet, residential area, family, agency and unit. Thanks to the participation of the entire political system, the movement became a great spiritual driving force, contributing to the development of the homeland more and more sustainably. The emulation movements were associated with the construction of new rural areas, civilized urban areas, maintaining security and order, reducing poverty and promoting grassroots cultural life.

After 25 years of implementation, the movement has achieved many outstanding results: The whole province has more than 492 thousand households; more than 1,200 hamlets, quarters and nearly 1,700 agencies, units and enterprises meeting cultural standards, becoming the nucleus of spreading the spirit of active and creative work. The whole province has 111 ranked relics; of which, 03 are special national relics; the art of Southern amateur music is preserved and widely taught; the movement to build school culture, office culture, and humane network environment is deployed synchronously.

In particular, the “For the Poor” Fund has mobilized more than 952 billion VND, supporting the construction and repair of 891 houses of gratitude. Up to now, 60/64 communes and wards have Cultural - Sports Centers, more than 1,200 hamlets and quarters have cultural houses, becoming places for activities, exchanges, study, and improving the spiritual life of the people.

With the expectation of further improving the quality of the movement in the coming period, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai requested all levels, sectors and localities to promote the achievements of 25 years, continue to build typical cultural models, and link the movement with other patriotic campaigns and emulation movements. Innovate the method of operation, focus on digital transformation in movement management and implementation.
