This is one of the highlights of the Quang Ngai Province Sea and Island Tourism Week 2026, attracting a large number of locals and tourists.

In his opening remarks at the festival, Mr. Pham Quoc Vuong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tinh Khe commune, emphasized that the Tinh Khe mangrove forest was one of the important revolutionary bases during the two wars of resistance to protect the Fatherland.
The endless rows of lush green coconut trees once provided shelter for cadres, soldiers, and local guerrilla forces, contributing to the glorious victories of the homeland.

Today, along with My Khe beach, Thach Ky Dieu Tau scenic spot, the temple of national hero Truong Dinh, Minh Duc pagoda and many other historical and cultural relics, Tinh Khe mangrove forest has become a destination with great potential for tourism development in Quang Ngai.

The site is recognized as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic, and is also a unique ecological space being developed in the direction of community tourism and experiential tourism associated with nature conservation.

The highlight of the evening was the prayer for peace and the release of floating lanterns on the Kinh Giang River. In the tranquil atmosphere of the coconut grove at night, thousands of lanterns were lit and gently floated along the water, creating a shimmering, magical scene.

Each floating lantern represents a prayer for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather, and a peaceful and happy life. It also serves as a remembrance and tribute to the generations of ancestors who bravely sacrificed themselves for national independence.

The streaks of light stretching across the water not only create a dreamy beauty for the night festival but also spread a message of faith, hope, and aspiration for progress in this land rich in revolutionary traditions.

Besides releasing lanterns on the river, visitors can also experience many attractive activities such as enjoying local specialties, exploring OCOP products, learning about community tourism models, rowing boats at night on the Kinh Giang River, enjoying tea amidst the coconut forest, and participating in traditional folk singing performances.

According to local leaders, the festival not only contributes to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values but also serves as an opportunity to promote the image of Tinh Khe to tourists from near and far; to awaken pride in the homeland, raise awareness of environmental protection, preserve the mangrove forest ecosystem, and gradually exploit the local tourism potential effectively.

The festival space was filled with vibrant cultural colors and unique folk art performances by the Quang Ngai Province Folk Song and Bài Chòi Club. The melodies of Bài Chòi, boat rowing songs, fishing songs, and songs praising the homeland evoked profound emotions in the audience about the land and people of Quang Ngai.

Amidst the shimmering light of thousands of lanterns in the coconut forest at night, the harmonious blend of nature, history, and culture created a special impression, enriching the activities of the Quang Ngai Sea and Island Tourism Week 2026 and spreading the image of a Quang Ngai rich in identity, friendly, and with great potential for tourism development.
