Excited about the "English Singing and Speaking" contest

Leaders of Nha Trang City Women's Union presented souvenir flags to the participating teams.

The contest has 26 teams including 13 speech teams and 13 singing teams from the Women's Union of 22 communes and wards in the city. Each singing team has 1-10 contestants/team, the speech team has 1-5 contestants/team. In the English singing contest, the teams performed performances praising the love of nature, life, homeland, love between couples... in the following forms: Solo, duet, group singing and accompanying dance. In the English - Vietnamese speech contest, the teams presented on topics such as: Praising the beauty of landscapes, culture, people of Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa ; praising the beauty of Ao Dai - the traditional costume of Vietnamese people; the role of women in the family, modern society, in environmental protection, gender equality...

The teams performed live in 2 preliminary and final rounds. Each team had 5 minutes/performance to present their performance and the jury selected 12 teams for the final round. At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 3 consolation prizes to the winning teams in each round.

The singing performance "Toxic" by the Women's Union of Vinh Truong Ward opened the final night.

The contest is organized to create a useful playground, helping cadres, women's union members and people practice foreign language skills, enhance confidence and demonstrate artistic talents; exchange, learn, enhance the spirit of solidarity between units. Through the contest, promote the people and image of Nha Trang City to domestic and foreign tourists; contribute to spreading love for the homeland and country, arouse pride in the culture and natural scenery of the city; raise awareness of the importance of foreign languages in the period of international integration.
