DNVN - During the Digital Transformation and Innovation Startup Week - Mekong Delta - Hau Giang 2024, a series of activities and workshops will take place on digital government, digital economy, digital transformation in agriculture and environmental resources; innovation startup, green and sustainable economic development.
On May 23rd, the People's Committee of Hau Giang province, in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Informatics Association, organized the opening ceremony of the "Digital Transformation and Innovative Startup Week," with the participation of 20 provinces/cities and hundreds of businesses, associations, and organizations from various provinces and cities.
The week was organized to raise awareness and create opportunities for exchange and cooperation between state agencies and businesses providing digital transformation, startup, and innovation products and solutions, contributing to improving the effectiveness of digital transformation and startup innovation, and promoting economic development in the Mekong Delta region.
In addition, the week also aims to support the promotion and attraction of investment from businesses into the Hau Giang Provincial Digital Technology Park; to strengthen the linkage of the innovation and startup ecosystem, connecting the province's ecosystem with the ecosystem of the region and the country.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province, said that on June 3, 2020, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 749/QD-TTg approving the national digital transformation program until 2025, with a vision to 2030. After more than four years of comprehensive, urgent, and decisive implementation nationwide, digital transformation has achieved very important initial results, which are positive and provide a basis for promising breakthroughs in the future.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province informed that, to date, the province has completed and effectively put into operation essential shared platforms and the Smart City Monitoring and Management Center. This has created many positive changes in the management and operation of the three levels of government; created a scientific and effective communication environment between state agencies, as well as between citizens and businesses and the government; contributed to improving transparency and increasing citizen satisfaction with the government. At the same time, it has significantly increased the province's indicators of administrative reform, competitiveness, and digital transformation.
The Digital Transformation and Innovation Week in Hau Giang will take place from May 23-24 with a series of rich and practical activities and workshops, focusing on key areas such as: digital government, digital economy, digital transformation in agriculture, natural resources and environment; innovation-based startups, green and sustainable economic development.
In particular, for this event, the organizers also set up 60 booths in the experience zone showcasing models and solutions for digital transformation and innovation startups from typical organizations and businesses.
