HaUI offers 10 English-taught programs with many scholarships.

Internationalization of education is a core strategy of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI). From the 2025-2026 academic year, the University will implement 10 English-taught programs to help train high-quality human resources who are both professionally competent and proficient in foreign languages, with the goal of increasing the proportion of students meeting the requirements of working in an international environment.

Sharing with VTC News, Dr. Than Thanh Son, Head of Training Department, Hanoi University of Industry said: In order to meet the demand for high-quality human resources in the context of international integration, Hanoi University of Industry is implementing training programs in English with many outstanding advantages. This is a strategic step of the University, opening a new "door" with many opportunities for students to develop comprehensively.

This provides opportunities for students to exchange and interact academically; affirming HaUI's role as one of the pioneering educational institutions in educational innovation, meeting the requirements of the global economy .

In the 2025 enrollment period, Hanoi University of Industry will enroll 400 students for 10 training programs in English, including: Accounting; Computer Science; Mechanical Engineering Technology; Automotive Engineering Technology; Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology; Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering Technology; Tourism; Tourism and Travel Services Management; Hotel Management; Restaurant and Catering Services Management.

Currently, the School is focusing on sectors and fields with high demand from the international and domestic labor market: STEM, Tourism, Business and Management.

HaUI students confidently integrate and connect with international friends and lecturers.

A notable point of the program is that students are supported to strengthen their foreign language skills. Therefore, HaUI has built foreign language support routes in the early stages, helping students to gradually get acquainted and adapt to a learning environment entirely in English. This ensures that each student has the opportunity to develop comprehensively, “not being left behind” just because of language barriers.

According to Dr. Than Thanh Son, Hanoi University of Industry, clearly identifying the teaching staff is the key factor determining the success of English-taught training programs.

The school has policies to attract foreign experts and scientists to teach and co-teach. The combination of the school's teaching staff and lecturers from foreign universities aims to maximize the advantages of each group.

According to the head of HaUI Training Department, with over 200 strategic cooperation enterprises, including many multinational corporations.

On that basis, HaUI has prepared internship programs at domestic enterprises and many foreign enterprises and corporations to ensure that students have the opportunity to access modern technologies and working processes. This helps students after graduation have the opportunity to work at international enterprises.

Tourism students confidently presented reports in English at scientific conferences.

To encourage and accompany students studying English training programs, the School offers many forms of scholarships to support students, specifically:

First: Entrance scholarships for students entering the English-taught program.

* Level 1: 100% tuition scholarship for the entire course (About 185 million VND/scholarship), expected number: 10 scholarships.

Scholarship subjects and criteria: Candidates enrolling in the English-taught training program of Hanoi University of Industry in 2025 who are valedictorians of each English-taught training program.

* Level 2: 75% scholarship for full course tuition (About 138.5 million VND/scholarship), expected number: 20 scholarships.

Scholarship candidates and criteria: Candidates enrolling in the English-taught program of Hanoi University of Industry in 2025 must have the 2nd or 3rd highest scores of each English-taught program.

* Level 3: 50% tuition scholarship for the entire course (About 92.5 million VND/scholarship), expected number: 30 scholarships. Scholarship candidates and criteria: Candidates enrolling in the English-taught program of Hanoi University of Industry in 2025 with high scores ranked 4, 5, 6 of each English-taught program.

Second: Academic incentive scholarship: For full-time university students with high academic and training results during the semester (excluding students who have received HaUI entrance scholarships).

Third: Nguyen Thanh Binh scholarship.

For full-time university students with difficult circumstances who meet the requirements for academic and training results but are not eligible for the state's tuition exemption or reduction policy.

Fourth: Corporate sponsored scholarships: For students who meet the sponsor's criteria and requirements.

Dr. Than Thanh Son emphasized: “The biggest goal of Hanoi University of Industry when implementing 10 training programs in English is to increase the percentage of students who can work in an international environment, thereby affirming the prestige and position of the school in the Vietnamese higher education system as well as on the global human resources map”.

To achieve that goal, the School focuses on equipping students with two important foundations. The first is solid professional knowledge, updated according to international standards, linked to professional practices and business needs. The second is the ability to use English fluently, present, negotiate and exchange academic knowledge in English.

The expansion of English-taught programs is an important part of the School’s development strategy. This plan has been implemented and will continue to be promoted in the future.
