In August 2025, the Farmers' Association of Son Dong commune launched a campaign to encourage farmers to participate in environmental protection towards the celebration of National Day on September 2. Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Son Dong commune Do Van Toan said that on August 23 and 24, 316 cadres and farmers' members responded to participate in the general cleaning of village roads and alleys, clearing sewers, taking care of self-managed farmer roads and farmer trees, helping the living space become fresher, tidier, more spacious, cleaner and more beautiful. The Farmers' Association of the commune also coordinated with villages and organizations to organize general cleaning and waste collection campaigns in the community, processing and production areas.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Sau in village 3 - Song Phuong shared that regular cleaning helps reduce the risk of disease outbreaks from mosquitoes, flies, rats, etc., contributing to changing the appearance of residential areas and raising awareness of environmental protection for local people.

Determined to protect a clean and beautiful environment, the Farmers' Association of Son Dong commune has stepped up propaganda and mobilized cadres and farmer members to raise awareness and responsibility, actively participate in environmental protection, keep streets, alleys, residential areas, rivers, lakes, ponds, canals, drainage systems clean; collect garbage, pesticide packaging, livestock waste... in the right places.

Farmers' Association members of Son Dong commune also play a core role in building, caring for and maintaining the models: "Self-managed farmers' association road", "Farmer's tree line", maintaining hygiene at locations where outdoor sports equipment has been installed, continuing to respond to the contest "Keeping villages and residential groups bright - green - clean - beautiful - safe" launched by the People's Committee of the commune.

Son Dong Commune Farmers' Association has requested its branches to organize the implementation and report the results with pictures of activities before and after the general cleaning, contributing to creating real and sustainable changes in the awareness of environmental protection among cadres and farmer members.

A meaningful and effective activity has just been completed by the Farmers' Association of Son Dong commune, which is the implementation of the project "Complex functional playground" at Song Phuong A Kindergarten - Quyet Tien school.

Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Son Dong Commune, Do Van Toan, said that the Association has mobilized resources to build the "Complex Functional Playground" project at Song Phuong A Kindergarten - Quyet Tien school, with a total value of 40 million VND. The project is implemented on an area of ^​​50m2 , with a seesaw, a ball house, a mini-complex sports area, anti-slip concrete floors and artificial grass carpets... The Farmers' Association of Son Dong Commune organized the handover of the project to the school at the end of August 2025.

Principal of Song Phuong A Kindergarten Nguyen Thi Dinh excitedly said that the project has full facilities, helping children have a space for play, activities, and useful entertainment, contributing to improving the quality of child care and education , promoting the movement of socialized education in the area.

Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Son Dong Commune, Do Van Toan, added that the Association also mobilized social resources to install outdoor sports equipment in the yard of the Trai Gan residential area, village 1 - Song Phuong. The project cost is about 20 million VND, striving to complete and hand over to the residential area by mid-September 2025. The project will help local people practice physical exercise and sports, improve their health, and create a clean and beautiful residential area landscape...
