After the merger, Gia Lai province has a large natural area, especially the cultural tourism resources and natural landscapes of the western region of Gia Lai province are still very large. In order to effectively exploit these resources, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism organized the Famtrip Gia Lai - Quang Ngai program with the theme: "Honoring ethnic minority culture - Accompanying tourism development" from October 14 to 19 with the participation of nearly 60 travel agencies across the country.

On this occasion, Gia Lai Tourism Association organized a conference to connect and meet businesses in the Famtrip group to listen to comments from travel agencies and experts; share and learn experiences, in order to perfect and build Gia Lai tourism products. This is also an opportunity for local businesses to exchange, connect and cooperate with leading travel agencies in Vietnam to jointly develop and sell Gia Lai tourism products.
At the Conference, businesses focused on sharing ideas and contributing many solutions to link tourism development with the preservation of indigenous cultural values, helping Gia Lai improve and effectively exploit tourism activities. Businesses said that Gia Lai possesses great cultural and natural resources with the world cultural heritage "Central Highlands Gong Cultural Space"; the cultural life of ethnic minorities is preserved and passed down from generation to generation; Kon Ka Kinh World Biosphere Reserve, Kon Chu Rang...; these are rich, unique and rare tourism potentials, capable of attracting tourists.

Businesses believe that Gia Lai needs to promote the development of community tourism villages, honoring the culture of ethnic minorities. One of the current barriers is that most villages in Gia Lai do not have tourism cooperatives, making transactions with travel businesses difficult, making it difficult for people to directly benefit from tourism revenue. Therefore, the establishment of community tourism cooperatives is considered an urgent direction, both creating a legal corridor and helping tourism revenue reach local people, contributing to improving livelihoods and arousing the spirit of self-reliant tourism in the community.
Businesses suggest that more attention should be paid to hygiene and food safety standards... In community tourism villages, the state needs to support people in preserving culture and improving destination infrastructure according to sustainable development criteria associated with environmental protection. There should be mechanisms and policies to encourage ethnic minority children to study tourism and return to help their localities, and to increase support for villages in training people in English skills and skills to provide various types of tourism services...
Businesses also believe that most destinations in Gia Lai are just sightseeing and taking photos, lacking unique experiences related to the cultural life of the people. Therefore, it is necessary to add suitable services, processing and selling local products, massage therapy with traditional herbs, or experiencing communal house activities, playing gongs with artisans... Diversifying products not only prolongs the length of stay of tourists but also creates opportunities for ethnic minority youth to start businesses and stay connected to their homeland.

Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai Nguyen Thi Kim Chung thanked the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism for organizing a Famtrip to survey products and routes in Gia Lai. Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chung affirmed that Gia Lai has a lot of potential for tourism development; rich and diverse products from sea tourism products, mountain tourism, community tourism, eco-tourism... However, the development of Gia Lai tourism still has a lot of work to do from tourism planning, building specific programs and plans, building tours and routes to effectively exploit local tourism products. "At this conference, we received many valuable comments from travel businesses nationwide. We will synthesize, absorb and develop the products from the units" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chung shared.

From there, promote and exploit the cultural potential and natural tourism potential of the Central Highlands region. Therefore, we hope that the tourism industry of Gia Lai province will continue to pay attention to developing and perfecting more tourism products to provide to travel agencies and customers, making Gia Lai tourism increasingly developed.
