Vo Thi Sau Primary School has 36 classes with more than 1,330 students, of which more than 1,210 students register for boarding meals at the school. Kim Dong Primary School has 35 classes with more than 1,300 students, of which more than 1,250 students register for boarding meals.
The inspection showed that the schools followed the one-way kitchen process, were airy and had enough light; the water source used was tap water and wells that met standards; the students' drinking water was filtered water; there was a sanitary drainage system, trash cans with lids; the catering team was trained annually in food hygiene and safety, was granted a food hygiene and safety certificate and had regular health check-ups, dressed neatly, wore hats and masks during food preparation. Both schools had contracts to supply food with clear origins; all types of books were kept according to regulations; daily food samples were kept according to regulations; the collective kitchen was granted a certificate of food hygiene and safety and the canteen had a commitment to food hygiene and safety. As for Vo Thi Sau Primary School, there is no machine to check for pesticide residues. Every day, the school's medical staff checks food with the naked eye, so it is very difficult to detect pesticide residues stored in vegetables and fresh food.

The members of the monitoring team also asked some questions about financial collection and disbursement; the installation of cameras in schools; the progress of the contract with the catering company; whether parents' opinions were sought; whether parents directly supervised daily meals; and conducted a review of the school's books and kitchen. Thereby, the school's board of directors explained and clarified the opinions of the monitoring team.
Concluding the monitoring session, Mr. Ta Van Hai - Vice Chairman of the City People's Council requested that schools take note of the comments of the monitoring team and supplement the report; schools need to consult parents about meal contracts with companies; and do a good job of ensuring food hygiene and safety.
