(CPV) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son welcomed Chancellor Boris Rhein; affirmed that Hessen is a typical German locality in cooperation with Vietnam, especially after the two sides established a priority cooperation framework in 2012, expressing his belief that Chancellor Boris Rhein's visit to Vietnam will contribute to creating new development momentum for bilateral relations.

On November 28, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son received Mr. Boris Rhein, Prime Minister of Hessen State (Federal Republic of Germany) who is visiting Vietnam.

At the reception, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son welcomed Prime Minister Boris Rhein; affirmed that Hessen is a typical locality of Germany in cooperation with Vietnam, especially after the two sides established a priority cooperation framework in 2012, expressing his belief that Prime Minister Boris Rhein's visit to Vietnam will contribute to creating new development momentum for bilateral relations.

Prime Minister Boris Rhein expressed his pleasure to return to Vietnam in the context of dynamic development of Vietnam - Hessen relations, affirming that Hessen State wishes to further deepen the priority cooperation relationship with Vietnam, a potential market where many businesses of the State are having effective investment projects. The Vietnam - Germany University project, a joint project between Vietnam, Germany and Hessen State in the field of education and training, has become one of the prestigious high-quality human resource training facilities in Vietnam.

In order to enhance effective cooperation between Hessen and Vietnam in the coming time, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son suggested that the Hessen state government soon draft an Agreement on priority cooperation with Vietnam; suggested that the state encourage Hessen enterprises to establish high-tech research and development (R&D) centers in Vietnam; continue to support the project to develop and expand the Vietnam-Germany University to complete the organizational structure, operating procedures and open more majors suitable to the requirements of the Vietnamese economy such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, high technology, etc.

In the field of vocational training, where Hessen has strengths, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Bui Thanh Son proposed that the state government support German language training for Vietnamese vocational students and promote mutual recognition of diplomas and certificates between the two countries in the field of vocational training.

Prime Minister Boris Rhein shared with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son the assessment of the Vietnam - Hessen cooperation situation and measures to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, education - training and labor cooperation.

Regarding new areas of cooperation, Prime Minister Boris Rhein affirmed that Hessen is ready to share experiences and cooperate with Vietnam in the process of energy transition and green development, support Vietnam in finance, technology, human resource training for activities responding to climate change and sustainable development, and implement commitments to reduce emissions to zero by 2050.

Prime Minister Boris Rhein also appreciated the successful integration of the Vietnamese community in Hessen, affirming that Hessen is ready to coordinate with the Vietnamese side to organize activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Germany diplomatic relations in 2025, including cultural and artistic activities such as participating in the Frankfurt Book Fair, exchanging art performance troupes.../.
