Israeli troops and Hezbollah forces have been fighting across the border since the Israeli-Hamas war broke out in Gaza. Both sides have stated they do not want a full-scale war and are willing to pursue a diplomatic process. However, attacks have intensified this week after a period of relative calm.

Two Lebanese security sources say at least seven people were killed in the Israeli attack on Hebbariyeh. The sources said the Israeli attacks appeared to target a relief and emergency center run by an Islamist group in the village.
Besides the tensions between Israel and Hezbollah—an ally of Hamas—Houthi forces in Yemen have also attacked ships in and around the Red Sea. Additionally, other armed groups in Iraq have attacked bases housing US forces in that country.
Hezbollah had earlier on Wednesday condemned the attacks on Hababiyeh. According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health , the Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon killed several medical and rescue workers.
On Tuesday, further Israeli airstrikes near two towns in northeastern Lebanon killed three Hezbollah fighters, according to the group's Telegram post. Israel also confirmed those attacks.
