Specifically, as of November 27, 2025, the price of white-fleshed dragon fruit bought in bulk at the garden is at 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg; red-fleshed dragon fruit is about 35,000 VND/kg (while a week ago the price was only 12,000 - 16,000 VND/kg).

Some dragon fruit growers in Lam Dong said that despite the high prices, only a few households still have fruit to sell. The reason is that many areas of dragon fruit planted in the off-season (especially in late October 2025) were affected by rain and floods; when the buds appeared, they were damaged and had to be cut off.
After the floods, farmers are continuing to restore production and prepare to light lamps to serve the 2026 Lunar New Year market.

On the purchasing side, the units also said that due to the rainy season, dragon fruit is affected by pests, especially fungi, causing a decrease in output.

According to the Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Association (Lam Dong province), in addition to the flood factor causing a shortage of goods, the price of dragon fruit in the Chinese market is also increasing; the amount of goods imported from Vietnam is low, so the price is pushed up.
