Promote the highest sense of responsibility of each Front cadre

Mr. Cao Xuan Thao - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Social Work Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, said that as of 12 o'clock on November 25, more than 1.05 million people and nearly 61,000 businesses had supported people affected by floods through the Central Relief Mobilization Committee. Thus, the total amount registered through the Central Relief Mobilization Committee was more than 2,088.5 billion VND.

The Central Relief Committee receives donations from units, organizations and individuals to support flood victims.

Of which, units registered through the Central Relief Mobilization Committee but directly transferred support to localities of 1,118.5 billion VND; units, organizations and individuals transferred money or cash directly to the Central Relief Mobilization Committee of over 970 billion VND.

According to Mr. Cao Xuan Thao, all donations from ministries, sectors and people nationwide will be transferred as soon as possible to people in provinces affected by storms and floods; at the same time, he emphasized that each Front official has, is and will promote the highest spirit and responsibility towards the people.

In localities, since October, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees in 34 provinces, cities and all levels have launched support programs in response to the call of the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee to support on the spot, transferring support resources directly to affected localities. According to incomplete statistics, as of November 24, the entire Vietnam Fatherland Front system at all levels has mobilized over 3,200 billion VND to support people to overcome the consequences caused by storms and floods.

Flood victims need support and guidance from the people of the whole country.

According to Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, recently, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio- political organizations, mass organizations have taken action very promptly, urgently, with the highest sense of responsibility; continue to coordinate closely with all levels, sectors, and philanthropists to receive support from groups and individuals and distribute appropriately and promptly to the people, not letting anyone go hungry or cold after the flood.

Vice President Ha Thi Nga said that this is a very meaningful resource, along with the State's resources, to support and help people rebuild their lives soon. This is not only material support but also timely sharing, warm feelings, demonstrating the spirit of "mutual love" of the Vietnamese people. And more than ever, people in flood-affected areas need it.

“The current difficulties will pass, but in order for people to rebuild their lives soon, the cooperation of the whole society is needed. The Vietnam Fatherland Front earnestly calls on and hopes that the people of the whole country, the business community, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends will continue to give their affection and material and spiritual support so that people in flood-affected areas, functional forces, and local authorities will have more conditions and resources to overcome the difficulties and challenges ahead,” Vice President Ha Thi Nga shared.

Currently, the Central Relief Mobilization Committee has allocated 9 phases with a budget of 678.182 billion VND through the accounts of the Relief Committee or the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of 23 provinces and cities: Thai Nguyen 45.12 billion VND; Bac Ninh 20.062 billion VND; Lang Son 30.5 billion VND; Cao Bang 35 billion VND; Tuyen Quang 35 billion VND; Lao Cai 25 billion VND; Son La 15 billion VND; Dien Bien 5 billion VND; Phu Tho 20 billion VND; Hai Phong 10 billion VND; Hung Yen 10 billion VND; Ninh Binh 25.5 billion VND; Thanh Hoa 25.5 billion VND; Nghe An 40.5 billion VND; Ha Tinh 40.5 billion VND; Quang Tri 55.5 billion VND; Hue 40 billion VND; Da Nang 40 billion VND; Quang Ngai 35 billion VND; Gia Lai 45 billion VND; Dak Lak 40 billion VND; Khanh Hoa 20 billion VND; Lam Dong 20 billion VND.
Localities and units have directly allocated 118.5 billion VND in funding to localities. VinGroup Corporation, through Thien Tam Fund, has disbursed more than 350 billion VND.
