The principal of a Hanoi secondary school surprised students by inviting them to an intimate breakfast.

On the morning of July 31, students of Giang Vo Secondary School, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi, who achieved the highest results in culture, science , sports and arts subjects during the summer, were extremely surprised to receive an invitation to have a friendly breakfast with the principal - Ms. To Thi Hai Yen.

It is known that the initiative of inviting outstanding students to have breakfast with the principal was first implemented at Giang Vo Secondary School with the desire to encourage students with aspirations and timely and creative efforts of the school.

When receiving the invitation from the principal, the students were very surprised and excited.

The teachers have planned to take care of the students very carefully and attentively. The students can register to choose their favorite dishes from 3 dishes: Beef Pho, Chicken Pho and Spaghetti with minced beef sauce. The fruits and drinks are all prepared by the teachers themselves.

Also in the morning of the same day, the Board of Education of Giang Vo Secondary School held its first meeting of the 2024-2025 school year. During the meeting, after introducing the personnel changes, Principal To Thi Hai Yen reviewed the activities of teachers and students of the school during the summer break.

Ms. Yen pointed out the advantages and challenges in the new era, requiring each member to contribute their efforts and work together to maintain the trust and love of parents for the school.

Giang Vo Secondary School is always in the top of the city in terms of academic achievements in both general and advanced levels. In the recent 10th grade entrance exam, with 732 students taking the exam, Giang Vo Secondary School had 216 students (about 30%) achieving an admission score of 42.5 points or higher.

The number of students passing the school's specialized high schools is 324, an increase of about 5% compared to the 2022-2023 school year. Notably, the school has 38 students passing 3 or more specialized exams; among them, Nguyen Nhat Linh, class 9A17, achieved a proud achievement with 6 specialized exams.

According to Ms. To Thi Hai Yen, this year's 10th grade entrance exam, the school reaped many "sweet fruits" when students were admitted to specialized schools one after another, achieving high scores. This achievement is thanks to the students' efforts and the dedication and devotion of the school's teachers during the past school year.
