This morning, March 8, at Dong Giang Heaven Gate Eco-tourism Area, Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee coordinated with FVG Travel Group Joint Stock Company to organize the International Travel Conference - Quang Nam 2025 with the theme "Hoi An - My Son - Dong Giang Heaven Gate Heritage Route: Where nature and culture meet".
Attending the workshop were Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union, more than 300 delegates, tourism experts, international organizations and a number of foreign Consulates General in Vietnam.
Tourism is the foundation that creates momentum to promote socio-economic growth.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, assessed the international tourism conference - Quang Nam 2025 as one of the important events, activities of profound significance for the province to promote the image, culture and people of Quang Nam to domestic and international friends and tourists. This is also a valuable opportunity for Quang Nam to receive the opinions of the delegates, thereby continuing to study the orientations, guidelines and implementation solutions to develop green tourism and sustainable tourism in the coming time.

According to Mr. Triet, the Hoi An - My Son - Dong Giang Heaven Gate heritage route is the first official intra-provincial tourist route announced in the orientation of developing a new tourism corridor in Quang Nam province, connecting the Hoi An - My Son tourist center with the western and southern regions of the province, and further connecting with domestic and regional tourist centers.
On that basis, tourism units and businesses will promote the construction and development of diverse tourism products, providing quality services for domestic and international tourists, especially forming diverse tourism programs with different themes, connecting tourist destinations on one or more tourist routes.
Mr. Triet suggested that in order for Quang Nam to become an attractive destination for domestic and international tourists and investors, in addition to development orientations and the construction of long-term, strategic tourism development mechanisms, policies and programs, the attention and direction of the Central Government, the coordination and support of domestic and international organizations, the cooperation between localities, sectors and fields, the attention of tourism experts... are extremely important and necessary in the current context; especially the companionship of tourism businesses.

"The planning of Quang Nam province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, has identified that tourism is the foundation for driving socio-economic growth. Quang Nam focuses on developing and creating green tourism products, based on the foundation of rich and diverse natural resources and unique indigenous cultural values, creating opportunities for resource conservation and sustainable tourism development. Economic development is not at all costs but must have harmonious economic, cultural, social and environmental development," Mr. Triet emphasized.
Young people will actively contribute to preserving and promoting cultural identity.
Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union, said that in the context of increasingly interested startups, many young people have taken advantage of resources to create unique tourism products, imbued with local cultural identity. From traditional homestays to cultural and culinary experience tours, young people have contributed to enriching the tourism ecosystem of the country and the province. This not only contributes to preserving heritage but also creates a special attraction for domestic and foreign tourists.

Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam said that in order to continue promoting the role of young people in promoting the national identity, culture of the province, developing tourism and especially sustainable experiential tourism, he suggested that the leaders of Quang Nam province, agencies, departments and organizations continue to pay attention to creating conditions and mechanisms for young people to directly participate in preserving and building local culture.
Mr. Lam also suggested that there should be mechanisms and policies to create conditions to support young people in general, especially ethnic minority youth, to develop ecotourism. In addition, it is necessary to apply digital transformation and technology in tourism promotion; build a network to connect young people to start tourism businesses.
"With youth, enthusiasm and creativity, I believe that Quang Nam youth in particular and Vietnamese youth in general will continue to make positive contributions to preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Vietnamese nation, to the sustainable development of the tourism industry, and to promoting the country and people of Vietnam to international friends," said Nguyen Tuong Lam.

At the workshop, tourism experts, international organizations and business representatives also presented papers to promote tourism development in Quang Nam in general and the western mountainous region of the province in particular; at the same time, to propose strategic solutions to diversify tourism products, attracting domestic and international tourists to Quang Nam.
Presenting his speech, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FVG Group, said that Quang Nam has the advantage of being located on the Central Heritage Road, a land rich in historical and cultural traditions, a place where valuable tangible and intangible cultural heritages converge and crystallize, notably with two world cultural heritages, My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An Ancient Town , along with many famous landscapes and tourist attractions that attract millions of visitors each year.
The formation of a product that connects tourist destinations in the province, adds new tours as well as introduces new products on a large scale for domestic and foreign tourists to experience is extremely necessary to contribute to promoting tourism development as well as developing the province's economy. Therefore, the formation of the "Hoi An - My Son - Dong Giang Heaven's Gate Heritage Route" to maximize the tourism potential of Quang Nam is a lever to develop tourism and economy, enhancing the position of the province on the tourism map of Vietnam and the world.
"The heritage route is a bridge to promote traditional cultural values, from festivals, crafts to local cuisine. This is also a way to link economic development with preserving national identity, avoiding the risk of being lost in the face of modernization," Mr. Tan shared.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province announced the decision and awarded the green tourism certificate to Dong Giang Heaven Gate Eco-tourism Area; announced the decision to approve the transport exploitation route on the heritage route Hoi An - My Son - Dong Giang Heaven Gate.
In addition, signed memorandums of understanding on cooperation and development of tourism in Quang Nam. In particular, announced the new tourism development corridor of Quang Nam province with the theme: "Hoi An - My Son - Dong Giang Heaven Gate Heritage Route: Where nature and culture meet" to expand tourism space, reduce pressure on heritage, and connect diverse cultures to attract visitors.
The Central Committee of the Vietnam Record Association also awarded a certificate of record for the longest dragon-shaped covered corridor in Vietnam with a length of 460 meters, built based on the dragon architecture of the Ly Dynasty.
