Coach Nguyen Anh Duc is determined to find a victory against the mid-to-low-ranked team Da Nang in round 5. Becamex Ho Chi Minh City has lost all four of their previous matches, including the National Cup.
The home team got off to a good start with an early goal in the 4th minute. Nigerian striker Ugochukwu Odeenyi's close-range finish opened up a favorable opportunity for the team.
However, about 20 minutes later, Milan Makaric equalized with a powerful header. Foreign center-back Milos Zlatkovic was too slow and was substituted by coach Anh Duc in the 30th minute.
