Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu said the tournament originated from the concerns of agencies including Tuoi Tre newspaper, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and Vietnam Football Federation to prepare the mind, strength, aspiration, and stature for the country to enter a new era.

Mr. Hieu emphasized that, through two seasons, the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament has become a useful and healthy playground and a place for exchange, meeting, sharing, inspiration and motivation for workers and civil servants nationwide.
He stated that the tournament is meaningful towards the 14th National Party Congress and organizes practical activities to implement major programs, resolutions, orientations and policies of the Party and State, as well as in the context of the whole country focusing on implementing the revolution of streamlining the apparatus.
"We expect the tournament to continue to promote the results achieved in the previous two tournaments and create new colors and new values. We believe that through the tournament, we will continue to affirm the stature and health of civil servants nationwide," Mr. Hieu emphasized.

On the morning of October 3, the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament opened the qualifying round in the Northern region at the University of Science and Technology Stadium (Hanoi).
The tournament will be held in two stages. The qualifying round will be held in the North (Hanoi) and the South (Ho Chi Minh City) to select the 16 best teams to qualify for the National Finals, taking place at the end of October in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Northern region qualifying round gathered 16 participating teams, including: Bac Ninh 1 Trade Union, Vietnam Education Trade Union, Ninh Binh Trade Union, Hai Phong City Trade Union, Dien Bien Trade Union, Hung Yen Trade Union, Hanoi City Trade Union, Bac Ninh 2 Trade Union, Phu Tho Trade Union, Vietnam Health Trade Union, People's Public Security Trade Union, Vietnam Bank Trade Union, Vietnam Industry and Trade Trade Union, State Bank, VPBank, Agribank.
The 16 teams will be divided into 4 groups, playing a round robin to select the 4 group winners and 4 group runners-up to enter the Quarterfinals. The Quarterfinals will be organized in a knockout format.
The four teams that qualify for the Semi-Finals will also receive tickets to the National Finals. Meanwhile, the four teams that stop in the Quarter-Finals will continue to compete in the play-offs to choose the remaining two tickets to the Finals.

The total prize of the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament in the Northern region qualifying round is up to 170 million VND.
Of which, the Regional Qualifying Champion team receives 60 million VND, the Second Place team receives 40 million VND, and the Third Place team each receives 20 million VND.
In addition, the Regional Qualifiers also have many other awards such as Best Player, Top Scorer, Best Goalkeeper, Most Fairplay Team, Most Impressive Cheerleading Team, Best Referee Team. Each award is worth 5 million VND.
In addition to organizing football competitions, in the qualifying and final round competition areas, the Organizing Committee also implements online interactive activities such as voting for beautiful goals or direct interactive activities in the organizing area such as: free examination and consultation on sports medicine and musculoskeletal diseases; discount booths, minigames to receive attractive gifts,... to take care of the cultural and spiritual life of workers, attracting audiences to the stadium to watch and cheer.
A notable highlight is that all matches of the tournament are livestreamed on social media platforms of the Tuoi Tre ecosystem, the tournament fanpage and the Vietnam Trade Union fanpage. This helps fans who cannot go to the stadium to cheer for the tournament and cheer for the players from afar.
Not stopping there, the Organizing Committee also received the support of Vietnam Cable Television - VTVcab, VTVcab's VTVprime application will broadcast live all matches of the tournament.
In addition, FPT Television Company Limited (FPT Play) will also broadcast important matches of the tournament. With this support, the Organizing Committee hopes that the tournament will be spread and reach a wider audience.
The 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament is jointly organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and the Vietnam Football Federation. This is the third consecutive year the tournament has taken place.
