According to Italian press, coach Simone Inzaghi will receive a salary of about 34 million USD a year when leading the Saudi Arabian club and become the highest paid strategist in the world .

The Italian coach parted ways with Inter Milan right after the Serie A representative went empty-handed last season and lost 0-5 to Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League final in Munich (Germany).

Previously, coach Jorge Jesus also had to leave when Al Hilal was eliminated in the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League and finished second in the Saudi Arabian national championship (Saudi Pro League). Coach Simone Inzaghi is expected to turn Al Hilal into the number one force in Saudi Arabian football.

Al Hilal is the most traditional team in Asia, with 4 AFC Champions League titles, and currently holds the record of 19 Saudi Pro League titles. Last season, Al Hilal won all 3 domestic titles including Saudi Pro League, King Cup and Saudi Arabia Super Cup.

After a disappointing season, Al Hilal are set to overhaul their squad under coach Simone Inzaghi. Theo Hernandez (AC Milan) and Victor Osimhen (Napoli) are the top targets for Saudi Arabia's most traditional team.

Al Hilal was also willing to spend $120 million to buy Bruno Fernandes from Man Utd, but the midfielder decided to stay at Old Trafford. In addition, there were many rumors that Cristiano Ronaldo would leave Al Nassr to join Al Hilal.

On June 15, Al Hilal will leave for the United States to attend the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. They are in Group H with Real (Spain), Pachuca (Mexico) and Red Bull Salzburg (Austria).

Coach Simone Inzaghi led Lazio Roma from 2016 to 2021, winning three titles, including the 2018 Italian Cup and the 2017 and 2019 Italian Super Cups. He moved to Inter Milan in 2021, and won Serie A in the 2023-2024 season, won two National Cups (2021-2022 and 2022-2023), three Italian Super Cups and reached the Champions League final twice (2022-2023 and 2024-2025 seasons).
