Visiting Martyrs' Memorial Houses and Cemeteries in localities

(CTO) - On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025); 80th anniversary of the founding of the Can Tho armed forces (July 30, 1945 - July 30, 2025), the City Military Command coordinated with departments, branches, sectors and organizations to visit the Tay Do Battalion Memorial House in Thanh An commune, Can Tho city; visit the Martyrs' Cemetery in Tan Hiep commune and Giong Rieng commune, An Giang province.

At the Tay Do Battalion Memorial House, delegates expressed their respect and offered incense to commemorate the 52 martyrs of the Tay Do Battalion who fought bravely and sacrificed their lives in fierce battles on May 20 and 21, 1966, at the Zero Canal in Tan Hiep Commune, An Giang Province. At the Martyrs' Cemetery of Tan Hiep Commune and Giong Rieng Commune, there are 246 graves of martyrs of the Tay Do Battalion. The delegates respectfully paid tribute, offered flowers, and offered incense to the monuments and graves of the heroic martyrs.
