Communication on sex education and reproductive health care for adolescents

(CT) - On November 10, at Tran Hung Dao Secondary School, Ninh Kieu Ward, Can Tho City Social Work Center coordinated to organize a communication session on sex education and adolescent reproductive health care for over 600 students.

Students of Tran Hung Dao Secondary School participated in the communication session.

At the communication session, representatives of the City Family Planning Association provided students with knowledge about gender, sexuality and adolescent reproductive health; changes in the body, psychology and physiology of puberty and how to care for and protect themselves. Students were instructed in basic skills to prevent abuse, respond appropriately in situations and circumstances that negatively affect themselves; proactively build a healthy, positive lifestyle and develop comprehensively in the school environment.

The communication session is an activity in the 2025 school social work program of the City Social Work Center. The program focuses on equipping necessary and useful knowledge and skills with topics on preventing and avoiding accidents, injuries, school violence, bullying, abuse; safety in using social networks, etc. for secondary school students.
