Early winter morning, amidst the rocky mountains of 5 communes in the border area of Tuyen Quang, there was an exciting sound of the festival - the groundbreaking ceremony for 5 boarding schools for primary and secondary levels. That sound not only signaled a new beginning for the career of educating people in the border area, but also awakened sacred emotions about the will to build and the desire to bring knowledge to the difficult areas of the country.

In the development process, the Party and the State always consider education as the top national policy. Investing in building schools for land border communes is a key and important task in socio -economic development and implementing ethnic policies to improve people's knowledge and human resource quality, create a source of ethnic and local cadres, improve the material and spiritual life of people in border areas, and contribute to strengthening national defense and security.

Recognizing that importance, the Politburo has agreed on the investment policy to build inter-level primary and secondary boarding schools in 248 land border communes. In the immediate future, the pilot investment will complete the construction or renovation of 100 schools by 2025.

The groundbreaking of 5 schools in the border communes of Minh Tan, Pho Bang, Pa Vay Su, Son Vi and Xin Man in a synchronous and modern direction while still maintaining the local cultural identity with full functions, from classrooms, dormitories, teachers' houses, to sports and community space... is a vivid proof, affirming the determination of the entire political system to turn policies into actions. Along with the school in the border commune of Thanh Thuy which was started earlier, Tuyen Quang has 6 inter-level boarding schools for primary and secondary levels invested and built with a total capital of over a thousand billion VND.

In the future, amidst the clouds and mountains, schools gradually appear as evidence of the change in awareness, belief and aspiration of the people in the highlands. Each new school not only helps the children of the Mong, Dao, Pa Then... get closer to the written word, but also opens up a journey to change their lives through knowledge. From the light of school, dreams are awakened, aspirations are kindled, and a new generation is growing up with a confident mindset, proactively integrating while still preserving the identity of their homeland.

The inter-level boarding schools in the border areas that have been started have truly become models when they meet the requirements and instructions of the Central Government, which are: Each school must have an area of 5 to 10 hectares, including the study area, boarding area, public service, physical training, cultural activities and experiential activities, and increased production. The school construction site must be conveniently connected in terms of traffic, designed in an open, flexible, diverse direction, suitable for ethnic culture, terrain, natural conditions, and climate of each region...

Each school in the border area is built not only as a place to spread knowledge, but also as a support for trust and a soft border in the defense of the Fatherland. Because the Fatherland's border is not only affirmed by landmarks but also by knowledge, culture and the people's hearts. When teachers feel secure in spreading knowledge, students are eager to learn, villagers are determined to stick to their villages, and the border is more stable. And each school built is a message to the future: Build schools to protect the land, spread knowledge to build the country.
