Support for educational infrastructure

In 2024, the dormitory project for Tan Tien Boarding Primary and Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities was started with a floor area of nearly 500 m2, designed in the model of a 2-storey stilt house. The total investment capital is more than 1.5 billion VND, of which Plan supports 900 million VND, the rest is contributed by the locality and the people, contributing working days and materials. After 5 months of construction, the project was completed, providing accommodation for nearly 300 students.

In Nam Dan commune, the Nam Dan Primary School project was sponsored by Plan with more than 1.3 billion VND to be built in 2022. The school consists of 8 classrooms fully equipped with desks, chairs, bookcases, televisions, teaching aids and two new toilets, creating favorable conditions for teaching and learning. In addition, Plan also supported the construction of a 160 m2 swimming pool in the commune center, organized swimming classes, survival skills and propaganda on drowning prevention for students. Comrade Loc Van Huy, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Nam Dan Commune Party Committee, shared: In recent years, Plan has supported the construction of school buildings, training projects, capacity building for people, creating livelihoods and protecting the rights of children, especially girls, contributing positively to improving people's lives and developing the local socio-economic situation.

From 2021 to present, Plan organization has invested more than 147 billion VND to implement projects. Including building new classrooms and boarding houses for 24 schools; supporting learning materials, repairing toilets and kitchens for 64 schools and school sites...

Supporting young people to start a business

Currently, Plan is implementing projects in the communes of Xin Man, Hoang Su Phi, Yen Minh and Meo Vac. Not only that, Plan also accompanies ethnic minority youth in livelihood development. To date, 46 economic development youth groups have been established, helping nearly 1,000 youth receive technical training, provide seedlings, production equipment and access to green agricultural models. Plan has also built 8 community learning centers, opened dozens of career guidance classes, and experienced traditional occupations such as weaving, mushroom growing, and making banh chung, contributing to helping highland youth confidently start a business.

Mr. Duong Van Tuy, Director of Plan Project in Tuyen Quang region, shared: Plan wishes to accompany the government and people to build a sustainable community, where all children, especially girls, can live safely and develop their full potential. Moving into the 2025-2026 period, Plan plans to continue investing more than 34 billion VND in comprehensive childhood development programs, youth economic empowerment and sustainable resource management.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thuan, Head of the International Cooperation Department (Department of Foreign Affairs) assessed: From 2007 to now, Plan has implemented hundreds of projects in the province with a support budget of more than 600 billion VND for the locality. Plan's programs are implemented methodically, linked to practical needs, contributing to improving the quality of education, health care, child protection and livelihood development. This is one of the effective international partners, making a clear contribution to the province's sustainable poverty reduction goal.
