Support taxpayers, create sustainable revenue
In 2025, the Gia Lai provincial tax sector will continue to adhere to the motto of "taking taxpayers as the center of service", creating the most favorable conditions for people and the business community to invest in production and business development, voluntarily fulfill tax obligations and nurture revenue sources. In that spirit, the whole sector focuses on promoting propaganda and mobilization so that taxpayers voluntarily fulfill their tax obligations.
In addition, the Tax sector actively applies information technology to its work, minimizing administrative procedures and quickly handling documents and procedures related to the tax sector, in order to reduce costs and efforts so that enterprises can spend time implementing investment and production plans.
Along with that, the Provincial Tax Department regularly updates and identifies the possibility that taxpayers will encounter difficulties and problems when applying some new regulations, thereby analyzing and advising on methods, processes, and procedures for each group, industry, and taxes and tax amounts that are reduced or extended.
Social networking platforms are also fully exploited by tax authorities to serve the purpose of bringing tax support policies into life, helping taxpayers to fully enjoy the State's support policies to stabilize their "health" and create sustainable revenue sources.

In the first 9 months of 2025, the provincial tax authority issued 340 decisions to reduce land rent according to Decree No. 87/2025 of the Government for 710 organizations and enterprises with a total amount of 87.1 billion VND; at the same time, received and quickly processed 4,002 tax refund dossiers for enterprises with a total amount of more than 1,367 billion VND. This not only ensures the rights of enterprises but also helps enterprises have more resources to invest in production and business development, contributing more to the province.
Thanks to that, the budget collection work has become more and more favorable and achieved much better results than before. The total domestic revenue in the first 9 months of 2025 in the province was 20,544 billion VND, reaching 103.6% of the Central budget estimate, reaching 89.7% of the Provincial People's Council budget estimate, an increase of 42.8% over the same period last year.
Actively handle and collect tax debts
According to the Provincial Tax Department, most enterprises have complied with their tax obligations, but there are still some who have not complied with the regulations. “Many enterprises, due to financial difficulties, have temporarily failed to pay taxes on time. However, many enterprises deliberately delay. In addition, some enterprises owe taxes but have stopped operating for a long time, enterprises with high tax risks and enterprises with signs of tax fraud and evasion are being investigated and clarified by the authorities. This does not ensure fairness and affects the work of collecting and paying taxes to the budget” - Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Son - Deputy Head of the Provincial Tax Department analyzed the causes of tax debt.

In that situation, the tax authority has quickly and accurately updated each taxpayer who still owes tax, and daily fluctuations in tax collected amount are publicly posted on the electronic information portal and the official Zalo page of the tax authority so that taxpayers know and coordinate. The tax authority also regularly sends open letters, persistently encourages, urges, and reminds taxpayers. In cases where taxpayers are still slow and hesitant to comply, the tax authority will apply measures to enforce accounts, enforce invoices, and collect taxes according to regulations.
In the first 9 months of 2025, the whole industry has publicized 991 taxpayers with large and overdue tax debts on the Provincial Tax website; issued 85 notices of temporary suspension of exit to taxpayers and issued 68,101 decisions on enforcing accounts, enforcing invoices, and collecting taxes from tax debtors.
By synchronously and drastically implementing the above measures, in the first 9 months of 2025, the Provincial Tax Department collected more than VND 6,634 billion in tax arrears, including VND 818.5 billion in debt from the previous year and collected VND 5,816 billion in tax arrears, promptly supplementing the state budget.
In the process of handling tax debt, the Provincial Tax Department also determined the amount of collectible tax debt of 6,501.6 billion VND, and difficult-to-collect debt of 254.9 billion VND, thereby applying appropriate tax debt handling measures.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Son added: "In the coming time, we will continue to implement solutions to support and create maximum convenience for enterprises to develop production and business to maintain revenue sources, while strengthening the supervision of input tax declaration records of enterprises more closely, to limit tax arrears. Along with that, we will focus on tax collection and tax arrears settlement to ensure the budget revenue for 2025 as assigned by the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee."
