To put Resolution 71 into practice, many educational institutions in the province have promoted the application of modern technology in administration and teaching, creating a smart educational environment, closely connecting schools, families and students in the process of integration and modernization.

Technology promotes digital education

Since the previous school year, Tan Xuan Secondary School ( Binh Phuoc Ward, Dong Nai Province) has put into use an electronic facial recognition attendance system instead of the manual form. Scanners are arranged in many different locations in the classrooms so that students can conveniently check in before entering the class.

Immediately after facial recognition, the student's school arrival information is transmitted directly to the server, the system will record and notify directly to teachers and parents via text message. Thanks to that, parents can rest assured knowing the exact time of student's arrival and dismissal.

Mr. Vo Quoc Anh, a parent of a student at Tan Xuan Secondary School, shared: “I have 2 children studying at the school. Thanks to the electronic attendance system, I can monitor the actual time my children arrive at school and receive messages immediately when they are absent. This creates favorable conditions for coordination between families and schools in managing their children more effectively.”

Not only equipped with a smart attendance system, thanks to the support of technology, the management, teaching and learning at Tan Xuan Secondary School in recent years have been gradually liberated. All 38 classrooms of the school have been equipped with smart interactive boards, projectors, smart touch screens, a school-wide surveillance camera system, a Steam Lab room and a digital library. The school has also digitized the management, teaching and quality assessment in a modern direction.

Ms. Trinh Thi Phuong Mai, Principal of Tan Xuan Secondary School, emphasized: Applying information technology in administration and teaching, the school's goal is to improve the quality of education and training in a modern, streamlined, and effective direction, serving the long-term strategy in building smart schools, keeping up with new educational thinking, which is comprehensive education, open education and education 4.0.

Applying technology to improve administration and teaching is identified as one of the key tasks of the education and training sector of Dong Nai province this school year. Resolution 71 also clearly states the need to focus on applying digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to teaching and learning, in particular, emphasizing the creation of interactive and flexible lectures to improve the quality of education in the digital age.

English lessons at Loc Ninh B Town Primary School (Loc Ninh Commune, Dong Nai Province) have been changed by teachers to be more lively and intuitive by combining the use of AI to build an electronic lecture library with rich illustrations, multi-dimensional interactions, creating excitement for students. This not only helps improve the quality of lectures but also demonstrates the spirit of innovation of the teaching staff in the context of digital transformation.

Ms. Dang Thi Phuong, an English teacher at Loc Ninh B Town Primary School, shared: “Lectures using AI have a new appeal to students. They are more excited, interact and absorb the lessons faster. Thanks to that, each lesson is very effective.”

At Nguyen Thi Sau Primary School (Long Hung Ward, Dong Nai Province), the Smart Classroom model has broken traditional limits, turning each lesson into a multidimensional experience. Ms. Nguyen Cam Tien, a teacher at the school, said: "The application of technology and AI has helped learning not only be about memorization but also about discovery, experience and creativity."

Innovation to improve education

Dong Nai currently has nearly 1.2 million students at all levels. This is a young, potential resource. To develop, there is no other way than to innovate education, training a generation of digital citizens - people who know how to master technology and be creative in life. Since previous school years, Dong Nai's education sector has boldly deployed AI applications in the classroom, bringing STEM, Robotics, IoT, AI programming into extracurricular activities and creativity competitions.

STEM festivals and provincial science and technology competitions, where Dong Nai students bring practical products such as garbage sorting robots, flood warning applications, or learning support software, are truly nurturing the seeds of creativity.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tham, Principal of Nguyen Trai High School (Long Binh Ward, Dong Nai Province) shared: “Smart education helps students have a comprehensive development environment. They not only learn knowledge but also practice creative thinking and international integration skills.”

Dr. Nguyen Tien Manh, Principal of Sonadezi College of Technology and Management, emphasized the importance of scientific thinking: "In a world that moves every hour by technology and artificial intelligence, businesses no longer look for people who are good at memorizing but need people who are creative. STEM education will solve this problem."

Resolution 71 not only creates policy changes but also ignites a wave of strong innovation in the entire education sector. This is an important foundation for Dong Nai's education sector to modernize the teaching environment, develop digital capacity for students and optimize management, creating a foundation for a modern, smart education system according to the goals set by the Politburo. From here, future generations of the country will be fully equipped with knowledge and skills to confidently enter the era of national development.
