In the contract signed with Binh Dinh when taking over the team in round 23, coach Tran Minh Chien will continue to work until the end of the 2025/26 season, regardless of the relegation result, as long as the sponsor is still with him. However, a change in personnel when the team is relegated is something that has been predicted.
“The leadership of Binh Dinh team has just announced that I will not continue to lead the team next season, after the team was relegated to the First Division,” coach Tran Minh Chien confirmed to the media.
The strategist born in 1974 was appointed to replace coach Bui Doan Quang Huy, who had to take a break due to health reasons. However, his tenure at the martial arts team only lasted 4 rounds (from round 23 to round 26). He could not help the team from the land of Nau change the situation in the last 4 rounds of the season.
The short tenure makes Coach Tran Minh Chien the coach with the shortest working time in V.League 2024/25. After Binh Dinh is relegated, the head coach position is likely to be handed over to Coach Bui Doan Quang Huy. Currently, Mr. Huy is studying a Pro Coach training course in Japan and is expected to return to Vietnam on July 22.
The team will enter the new season with many major changes in personnel. The future of key players such as Mac Hong Quan and Cao Van Trien is still unclear. Meanwhile, the club's top goal is to find a way to return to V.League soon.
