From the summit of Ba Den Mountain, visitors can gaze out at Vietnam's largest artificial lake, serene in the afternoon breeze. Dau Tieng Lake boasts a diverse landscape: from endless rice paddies to fragrant lotus and water lily fields bathed in the summer sun; adding a touch of tranquility to the lake's peaceful scenery are the palm trees amidst the vast expanse.
Not far from Ba Den Mountain and Dau Tieng Lake lies a vast rubber forest. Especially during the autumn and winter months in Tay Ninh , from late November to March, the rubber trees change their leaves, turning a dreamy yellow and red, like something out of a fairy tale.
Dau Tieng Lake has its headworks located in Dau Tieng District, Binh Duong Province and Hon Quan District, Binh Phuoc Province, but its main catchment area lies within Duong Minh Chau District and a small part within Tan Chau District, Tay Ninh Province.
Located 25 km east of Tay Ninh city, the lake has a surface area of 270 km2 and 45.6 km2 of semi-submerged land, with a water storage capacity of 1.58 billion m3.
Located 20km from Tay Ninh town, Dau Tieng Lake is a tourist destination situated on the interconnected route between Tay Ninh town, Tay Ninh Holy See, and Ba Den Mountain. Construction of the lake began on April 29, 1981, and was completed on January 10, 1985.
With its vast open space, harmonious blend of mountains and water, unique natural islands, and fresh, cool air, Dau Tieng Lake offers visitors a relaxing experience. It's becoming a popular new destination, perfect for weekend getaways.
