Tuyen Quang hydroelectric reservoir opens 3 bottom sluice gates.

The Tuyen Quang hydropower plant will continue to open spillway gate number 3 at 5 PM on August 2nd.

Previously, at 12:00 PM, sluice gate No. 1 was opened, and at 3:00 PM, sluice gate No. 2 was opened. The total water discharge through the turbines and spillway was approximately 2320 m3/s; the corresponding downstream water level after the structure was 55.20 m.

To minimize damage caused by flood releases from hydropower reservoirs in the province, the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue requests that districts and cities direct downstream localities to promptly notify and implement measures to ensure the safety of people and property when the Tuyen Quang hydropower reservoir releases floodwaters.

Aquaculture facilities, water transport vehicles, and ferry terminals should closely monitor water levels to ensure safety. Investors and construction units should review and ensure the safe execution of ongoing construction projects… absolutely preventing any unfortunate losses of life and property.
