Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant opened a bottom spillway at 10:00 p.m. on November 4.

Hoa Binh Hydropower Company has just issued document 1706/TĐHB-KTAT, regarding the regulation of opening the bottom spillway gate of Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant. Thereby, opening 1 spillway gate at 22:00, November 4, 2025.

Currently, the water level of Hoa Binh Lake is at 117.02m, the water flow into the lake is at 2013m3/s. According to the estimate after the discharge, the water flow through the spillway is 1,770 m3/s; the water flow to generate electricity through the generator is 2,400 m3/s; the total water flow discharged downstream is 4,170 m3/s; the water level downstream of Hoa Binh dam is 12.50 m.

The functional unit of Phu Tho province requires organizations to immediately notify authorities at all levels, people, organizations operating on rivers and riverside; aquaculture facilities, water transport vehicles; ferry terminals; review and ensure safety of construction works; activities of sand and gravel exploitation, gathering and transfer to know about flood discharge information of Hoa Binh hydropower reservoir.
