For many years, Ms. Luong Thi Toan's family has been classified as a near-poor household with special circumstances in the locality. Her husband passed away early, leaving her to care for her elderly mother and raise two young children alone. The burden was further compounded when one of her children unfortunately contracted cancer and required frequent treatment at medical facilities.
Life, already a struggle to make ends meet, became even more difficult due to medical expenses, transportation, and daily living costs. However, with the strength of a mother, she persevered, working hard to provide for her family and holding onto hope for better days ahead.
Understanding her situation, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dan Hoa commune unanimously agreed to support her family's livelihood by donating a motorbike worth 20 million VND from the commune's "For the Poor" Fund.

Not only does the vehicle provide the family with a means of transportation, but it also helps her work more easily, take her children to medical appointments, care for her elderly mother, and handle daily tasks.
According to Tran The Anh, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dan Hoa commune, the "For the Poor" Fund was established through the joint contributions of agencies, units, businesses, philanthropists, and the people in the area. From this fund, the locality always prioritizes long-term support measures to help people develop their economy and gradually stabilize their lives.
According to Mr. Tran The Anh, supporting the poor is not just about providing immediate assistance, but more importantly, about creating conditions for them to confidently work and gradually rise out of poverty. The motorbike donated this time will help alleviate the difficulties in Ms. Toan's family's life and give her more motivation to continue striving to overcome adversity.
Deeply moved by the concern shown by all levels of government, organizations, and generous donors, Ms. Luong Thi Toan shared: “This gift arrived at a time when my family is facing many difficulties. With a means of transportation, I will have more convenience in my work, in taking care of my elderly mother, and in taking my children to check-ups and treatment. This timely encouragement also gives me more confidence to continue working hard, taking care of my children, and stabilizing my life.”

From a practical gift, the livelihood support activities of the Fatherland Front of Dan Hoa commune continue to affirm its role as a bridge in mobilizing and gathering social resources to care for the poor and vulnerable groups. At the same time, this is also a vivid testament to the effectiveness of the "For the Poor" Fund in sustainable poverty reduction at the grassroots level.
In the coming period, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dan Hoa commune will continue to promote the "For the Poor" Fund campaign, mobilizing social resources to support livelihoods and improve the lives of poor households, near-poor households, and families with difficult circumstances, contributing to the effective implementation of social security work and the goal of sustainable poverty reduction in the area.
