Hoa Binh exports turmeric starch and honey peach lemon tea to the UK for the first time

NDO - On July 25, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hoa Binh province, in coordination with the People's Committees of Lac Son and Cao Phong districts and RYB Joint Stock Company, organized a ceremony to export two OCOP products, turmeric starch and honey peach lemon tea, to the UK market for the first time.

Representatives of provincial leaders, departments, branches and businesses of Hoa Binh cut the ribbon at the inauguration ceremony.

Two OCOP products of turmeric starch of Nhung Van Turmeric Starch Limited Liability Company (Lac Son district) and honey peach lemon tea of Ha Phong Cooperative (Cao Phong district) were exported to the UK market for the first time with a total quantity of 60 cartons and 1,080 bottles, respectively.

Products are packaged according to export standards and transported to the UK market by RYB Joint Stock Company.

At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province Dinh Cong Su said that the ceremony to export OCOP products of turmeric starch and honey peach lemon tea of Hoa Binh province to foreign markets shows that the province's agricultural products still have a lot of potential and advantages, capable of meeting the requirements of customers, meeting the requirements of domestic and foreign markets; including demanding markets, with high requirements on product quality.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Nhuan, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hoa Binh province, said that recently, the department has consulted the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province to recognize 123 products of 101 entities as OCOP products with 3 stars or more, including: 24 4-star products and 99 3-star products, most of which are products in the agricultural sector (96 products of 82 entities).
