Miss India dies suddenly, leaving many unanswered questions.

According to The Times of India , Twisha Sharma, an Indian model and actress, was recently found dead at her husband's home in Bhopal.

Initially, the case was considered a suspected suicide, but it was later transferred to a more in-depth investigation due to unusual circumstances. The incident quickly attracted attention in India when Twisha Sharma's family accused her husband's family of mental and physical abuse.

Following the incident, Twisha's husband, Samarth Singh, left his residence and was out of contact for about 10 days, prompting Bhopal police to issue an arrest warrant and offer a reward for his capture.

On May 22nd, Samarth Singh was arrested in Jabalpur, where he reportedly attempted to surrender to the local court but was refused entry.

Samarth Singh's lawyer, Mr. Mrigendra Singh, denied that his client had fled: "He did not flee. He exercised his right to bail, and then I advised him to turn himself in." He also described Samarth Singh as being in a "depressed" state of mind after the incident: "That day, he took his wife to the beauty salon, then picked her up. Around 7:30 pm they went for a walk, had dinner, watched TV together. Then she went upstairs and said she needed some space."

Meanwhile, Twisha Sharma's family filed a complaint with the police, alleging harassment, psychological abuse, and a dowry dispute. In the complaint, they claimed that Twisha may have been mistreated during her time living with her husband and mother-in-law – former judge Giribala Singh – and even suggested the possibility that she was murdered.

The family also provided several WhatsApp messages allegedly from Twisha, revealing a state of mental stress and a feeling of deadlock in the marriage. Furthermore, they claimed that the conflict between the two became serious around April, the time Twisha became pregnant. Notably, the family suspects that Twisha may have been under pressure, leading her to proactively terminate the pregnancy.

However, to date, these allegations have only come from the victim's family and have not been officially confirmed by the investigating authorities or forensic reports.

Twisha Sharma is an Indian model, actress, and former beauty pageant contestant who won the Miss Pune title. Twisha has been involved in various modeling and advertising activities, appeared in regional film projects, and is active on digital content platforms.

After her artistic career, she is said to have shifted her focus to the business world and temporarily stepped away from showbiz. Twisha Sharma married lawyer Samarth Singh in late 2025 after meeting through an online dating app.
