According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, on May 31st, localized heatwaves occurred in Northern Vietnam and North Central Vietnam, with temperatures exceeding 35°C in some areas at 1 PM.

Tomorrow, June 1st, the western mountainous region from Thanh Hoa to Hue City will experience hot and sunny weather with maximum temperatures generally ranging from 35-36°C, and exceeding 36°C in some areas.

On June 2nd, the Northern Delta and southern Phu Tho experienced hot weather with maximum temperatures ranging from 35-36°C, and exceeding 36°C in some areas.

Northern and Central Vietnam will experience rising temperatures, with hot and sunny weather, and intensely hot conditions in some areas, reaching maximum temperatures of 35-37°C, and exceeding 37°C in some places.

From June 3-5, the heatwave will expand across a wide area in Northern Vietnam, the region from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang City, and the eastern parts of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak, and is likely to continue in the following days.

The meteorological agency notes that the temperature forecast in heatwave reports and the actual perceived temperature outdoors can differ by 2-4°C, or even more, depending on the surface conditions such as concrete or asphalt.

Hanoi weather forecast for the next 10 days

Tonight and tomorrow, Hanoi will be sunny, with some areas experiencing hot weather. Showers and thunderstorms are expected in some areas in the late afternoon and evening. Light winds. The lowest temperature will be 27-29°C, and the highest 34-35°C, with some areas exceeding 35°C.

Additionally, according to the updated 10-day weather and temperature chart, Hanoi will experience widespread and prolonged heatwaves with a maximum temperature of 37°C.

Specifically, from June 1-3, Hanoi will have few clouds, hot and sunny weather, with the highest daily temperature ranging from 35-36°C and the lowest from 28-29°C.

On June 4th and 5th, temperatures in this area rose, reaching a high of 37°C and a low of 28-29°C, with few clouds and intense sunshine.

On June 6th, the highest temperature in Hanoi dropped slightly to 35°C, but this was still considered hot, with a lowest temperature of 28°C and mostly clear skies.

During the last three days of the forecast period (June 7-9), Hanoi experienced showers and thunderstorms, ending a prolonged period of widespread heat. The highest temperature dropped to 33°C, and the lowest to 26°C. The thunderstorms following the heatwave carry the potential for extreme weather phenomena such as tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.
