Classical Wonderland Educational Concert: Spreading Classical Music to the Community

VYMI EduConcert "Classical Wonderland" is the first pianist search program in Vietnam for young piano players, regardless of professional or non-professional, to play with the orchestra, a public and fair search program to seize the opportunity to play with the leading prestigious orchestra - the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra.

VYMI EduConcert "Classical Wonderland" is built with the meaning of music education as the core, for the community, in an effort to contribute Art Projects to Hanoi city. Accordingly, Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO) accompanies Vietnam Youth Music Institute (VYMI) to organize Educational Concert programs called "Classical Wonderland". The entire program is organized free of charge to bring this opportunity to the community.

The performance features the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Conductor Honna Tetsuji (Japan), pianist Nguyen Thai Ha and 5 promising young professional and amateur pianists carefully selected from VYMI EduConcert Piano Audition 2022.

The program introduces classical music, compositions, orchestral instruments and interactive concert activities.

The special feature of this concert is that it is a learning journey - learning about Classical Music with guidance from Educator Trang Trinh on stage, including introduction to classical music, works, orchestral instruments and interactive activities during the concert.

The Educational Concert "Classical Wonderland" is the final point of a carefully organized and constructed journey to lead the audience to enjoy the beauty of Classical Music in a new and vibrant way.

According to the organizers, the program has spent 2 months searching for pianists through VYMI EduConcert Piano Audition 2022.

This is the first time in Vietnam that there is a public selection of pianists and is a rare opportunity for all young people who love the piano, regardless of professional or amateur, from all over Vietnam.

Through registration and performance practice, young people have the opportunity to learn more about the work that will be performed in the concert.

The stage of the Educational Concert "Classical Wonderland" will be the place for you to reach your dream of performing and shining on the big stage.

This is the first time in Vietnam that there is a public piano artist selection program for all young piano lovers, regardless of professional or amateur, from all over Vietnam.

After 2 months of searching for piano positions, 5 young people selected from professional and amateur candidates from all over the country officially stepped onto the stage of the "Classical Wonderland" Educational Concert at the Hanoi Opera House and performed with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra on the evening of July 11.

Sharing her feelings about participating in the concert, Pianist Jieun Lee: "The reason that motivated me to participate in the VYMI EduConcert Piano Audition 2022 pianist search program is curiosity and excitement for the opportunity to perform with the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra on the stage of the Hanoi Opera House.

In addition to careful preparation for the search rounds, the workshops and discussion sessions, the learning activities have motivated me to discover my musical personality and get to know many young people who love piano in Hanoi, regardless of age or profession. It is these friends with a strong love for music who have inspired me to pursue music for life and share the joy of performing music."
