On August 12th, the Department of Education and Training of Bac Lieu province announced that first-grade students will start school as early as August 19th, 2024; other grades will start school on August 26th, 2024; and the opening ceremony for the school year will be on September 5th, 2024.

The Department of Education and Training has also officially issued the training plan for the 2024-2025 academic year. The specific start and end dates for each semester are as follows: Semester I has 18 weeks of actual study, starting on September 9, 2024 and ending before January 12, 2025.

The second semester consists of 17 weeks of actual learning, starting on January 13, 2025 and ending before May 25, 2025. The school year will end before May 31, 2025.

The process of recognizing the completion of the primary school program and the awarding of lower secondary school diplomas will be completed before June 30, 2025. Enrollment for the first-year classes of each level for the 2025-2026 school year will be completed before July 31, 2025.

The 2025 high school graduation exam and other national-level exams will be conducted according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training . Public holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year) holidays will be observed according to the regulations of the Labor Code and annual guiding documents.

The Department of Education and Training shall preside over and coordinate with relevant departments and agencies and the People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities to organize the implementation of the 2024-2025 school year timetable. At the same time, it shall carry out the tasks stipulated by the Minister of Education and Training.
