The film "The Scent of Burning Grass" is based on the diary "Forever Twenty" by Martyr Nguyen Van Thac. The film realistically and vividly recreates the 81-day and 81-night battle to defend the Quang Tri citadel in 1972 by our army and people.
The film presents realistic portrayals of war and the image of ordinary, relatable, yet incredibly resilient soldiers. They are young men in their late teens and early twenties, full of dreams and aspirations, but who, answering the sacred call of the Fatherland, volunteered to go to war, fighting bravely and sacrificing themselves for peace and national independence...
