Ninh Binh students return to school as early as August 22

GD&TĐ - Ninh Binh province has just issued a timetable framework for the 2025-2026 school year for preschool education, general education and continuing education.

According to the plan, students will return to school on August 29. Students in the first and last grades, including grades 1, 9 and 12, will return to school earlier, from August 22.

On September 5, the whole province simultaneously held the opening ceremony of the new school year.

Semester I starts on September 5 and ends before January 17, 2026.

Semester II starts from January 19, 2026, ends before May 25, 2026.

End of school year before May 31, 2026.

High school graduation exams and national exams are organized according to the instructions and regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training . The Director of the Department of Education and Training will decide the time to organize provincial exams for excellent students.

The recognition of primary school completion and lower secondary school graduation will be completed by May 31, 2026. Admission to the first grades of the 2026–2027 school year must be completed by July 31, 2026.

Holidays and Tet holidays are implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code and related documents. The Director of the Department of Education and Training is allowed to decide to let students take time off from school in case of severe weather, natural disasters or other special situations, ensuring that the progress of the school year is not affected.

In special cases due to natural disasters or epidemics, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee may decide to extend the school year, but not more than 2 weeks compared to the issued plan.
