Lifelong learning contributes to improving people's happiness index.

On May 12th, the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning organized a workshop titled "The Role of Lifelong Learning in Enhancing the Happiness Index of the People - Tasks of all levels, sectors, social organizations, and the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning".

Attending the workshop were representatives from departments, agencies, political and social organizations, representatives of the armed forces, universities and colleges in the province, and leaders of communes and wards in the province.

At the workshop, many presentations focused on key topics such as: the role of local Party committees and authorities in developing the lifelong learning movement for the happiness of the people; the role and tasks of the Education and Training sector and the Association for the Promotion of Learning in promoting lifelong learning and building a learning society to improve the happiness index; the role of the Youth Union in the digital transformation to improve the happiness index; building a learning society at the commune and ward levels when implementing a two-tiered local government; learning combined with practice to meet the requirements of training and job placement for students after graduation; and lifelong learning to preserve and promote national cultural identity through traditional festivals...

The workshop synthesized opinions analyzing the difficulties in promoting learning and talent development, building a learning society, and proposed solutions, mechanisms, and policies to improve the effectiveness of promoting learning and talent development and to build a sustainable learning society.

The opinions and discussions at the workshop were taken into account by the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning to study and incorporate into its key tasks; to develop activity plans; to understand the situation at the grassroots level; and to effectively implement tasks in the coming period. Through the workshop, awareness was raised among officials and members at all levels and in all sectors regarding the connection between "Lifelong Learning" and the "Happiness Index." At the same time, it suggested specific solutions for agencies, organizations, and associations for the promotion of learning at all levels to concretize the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party into practice.
