These days, members of the Truong An Xanh Xuan Nha Agricultural Cooperative in Thin village are busy harvesting honey pineapples, a new crop that the villagers have been cultivating for over a year. Despite the intense heat of this border region, the atmosphere remains vibrant and enthusiastic because this year's pineapple harvest is bountiful, with stable prices ranging from 20,000 to 25,000 VND per kilogram, yielding an income of over 60 million VND per hectare.

Mr. Mui Van Xuan, Director of Truong An Xanh Xuan Nha Cooperative, said: Established in 2020 with 10 initial members, the cooperative now has 31 members, cultivating 96 hectares of various fruit trees, including mangoes, longan, apples, and pineapples... Among them, the cooperative's Xuan Nha large apples have achieved OCOP 3-star certification. From production linkages and technical support for cultivation to finding markets, the cooperative has gradually helped its members change their production mindset, enhance the value of agricultural products, and increase sustainable income.
Keeping pace with the trend of applying technology to agricultural production, Truong An Xanh Xuan Nha Agricultural Cooperative has installed a camera surveillance system in its orchards, uses electronic logbooks to monitor the entire production process, and prioritizes the use of organic fertilizers to improve product quality and value. Each year, the cooperative harvests over 670 tons of various fruits, generating over 4 billion VND in revenue; the average income of cooperative members reaches 100-120 million VND per year, higher than the previous small-scale agricultural production. In addition, the cooperative is also actively promoting and introducing its products on digital platforms, social media, and e-commerce sites, gradually expanding its product market.

In Tun village, members of the Xuan Nha Clean Bamboo Shoot Production and Processing Cooperative are busy packing thousands of bamboo seedlings to send to orders from many places inside and outside the province. Ms. Lo Thi Nguyen, Director of the Cooperative, happily shared: "We have over 240 hectares of bamboo raw material area with 334 affiliated households. In addition to producing bamboo shoot products, the Cooperative also propagates bamboo seedlings for the market. This year, localities have ordered a large number of seedlings, so the women are working non-stop. From the beginning of the year until now, the Cooperative has sold about 12,000 seedlings, earning over 180 million VND."
Each year, the Xuan Nha Clean Bamboo Shoot Production and Processing Cooperative harvests 1,800 tons of fresh bamboo shoots, processing them into dried, pickled, and sour bamboo shoot products. In addition, the cooperative purchases approximately 128 tons of fresh Bat Do bamboo shoots, 10 tons of shredded bamboo shoots, and 2.2 tons of finished dried bamboo shoot pieces from local farmers. The cooperative's bamboo shoot products have been exported to Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea, generating revenue exceeding 2 billion VND per year.

Ms. Dinh Thi Sen, from Chieng Nua village, Xuan Nha commune, shared: "My family has 2 hectares of bamboo. By joining the cooperative, I received guidance from technical staff on planting, caring for, grafting, and propagating seedlings, as well as support in selling the product. In 2025, my family harvested 24 tons of fresh bamboo shoots, which the cooperative purchased at 4,500 VND/kg, bringing in nearly 110 million VND in income. Thanks to this, my family's life is much better than before."
Currently, Xuan Nha commune has 4 active agricultural cooperatives with over 50 member households. Based on the practical effectiveness of these collective economic models, farmers in Xuan Nha commune have gradually changed their production mindset, shifting from small-scale, fragmented production to concentrated production, forming cooperatives, participating in value chain linkages, and connecting agricultural product consumption; transforming traditional farming methods to applying science and technology, high technology, or organic farming, improving the quality and value of local agricultural products. This positive shift has helped the locality form concentrated specialized farming areas, promoting sustainable agricultural development.

Ms. Ha Thi Than, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Xuan Nha Commune, said: The Resolution of the Commune Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term identifies the development of the collective economy as one of the important solutions to promote the transformation of agricultural production structure and increase people's income. The Commune People's Committee has facilitated access for cooperatives to support programs on capital, science and technology, digital transformation, trade promotion, and product branding; directed the Commune's General Service Center to organize training and technology transfer, support cooperatives in expanding raw material areas, developing OCOP products, and connecting product consumption with businesses and markets outside the province. As a result, many cooperatives operate effectively, creating stable jobs for local workers, contributing to promoting socio-economic development and building new rural areas.
From now until 2030, Xuan Nha commune strives to establish at least 3 new cooperatives, gradually expanding production linkage models associated with processing and product consumption. At the same time, it will continue to support cooperatives in improving management capacity, applying science and technology, digital transformation, and building distinctive local agricultural product brands.
