Academy of Journalism and Communication stops recruiting block C00

The Academy of Journalism and Communication officially removed the C00 combination (Literature, History, Geography) in the method of considering academic records and considering high school graduation exam scores in 2025.

In 2025, the Academy of Journalism and Communication will recruit 2,050 students according to 4 admission methods: Direct admission and priority admission; Academic transcript review; Combined admission; Admission based on high school graduation exam results.

The school divides training programs into 4 groups:

Group 1: Journalism and Publishing majors, admission is based on 4 groups: Literature - English - Math; Literature - English - Economic and Legal Education; Literature - English - Information Technology; Literature - English - History. Literature is given a coefficient of 2.

Group 2 : Majors in the theoretical block such as Philosophy - Political Science , admission is based on 4 groups: Literature - Math - English; Literature - Math - Informatics; Literature - Math - History; Literature - Math - Economic and Legal Education.

Group 3 : History majors, majoring in History of the Communist Party of Vietnam , admission is based on 4 groups: Literature - History - English; Literature - History - Mathematics; Literature - History - Informatics; Literature - History - Economic and Legal Education. History is given a coefficient of 2.

Group 4: Majors in Communications, Advertising, English Language; International Relations; Public Relations, admission based on 4 groups: Literature - English - Math; Literature - English - Information Technology; Literature - English - Economic and Legal Education; Literature - English - History. English is calculated with a coefficient of 2.

This year is the first year that the Academy of Journalism and Communication has completely eliminated the traditional group C admission (Literature, History, Geography) in the method of considering academic records and considering high school graduation exam scores; and added some new groups with information technology subjects.

The school considers candidates with an international English certificate equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or higher, a minimum SAT certificate of 1200/1600, an average score of 7 or higher in Math, Literature, English, and History for 6 semesters of high school, and good conduct in high school.

For majors in group 1, group 2 and group 4, the school considers international English certificates equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or higher, SAT certificate of at least 1200/1600 combined with the study results of 6 semesters of the following subjects:

Certificate (coefficient 2) + Literature + Math + Priority/incentive points (if any)

For majors in group 3, the school considers international English certificates equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or higher, SAT certificates of at least 1200/1600 combined with the study results of 6 semesters of the following subjects:

Certificate (coefficient 2) + Literature + History + Priority/incentive points (if any)

The Academy of Journalism and Communication also has requirements for candidates' appearance. For example, candidates applying for the political theory lecturer training program must not have a lisp or stutter. Or candidates applying for the TV filming program must be in good health and not have eye defects. The minimum height is 1.58m for women and 1.62m for men.
