Along with Hoi An, Hue City was also nominated in this category. Meanwhile, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City were named in the category "Asia's Leading Festival and Event Destination".

Ho Chi Minh City was also nominated for the category "Asia's Leading Business Travel Destination". Hanoi was nominated in two categories "Asia's Leading Short-Term City Break Destination" and "Asia's Leading City Destination".

At this year's World Travel Awards, Vietnam tourism was nominated in many categories such as: "Asia's Leading Cultural Destination", "Asia's Leading Heritage Destination", "Asia's Leading Beach Destination".
