Hoi An among the world's most romantic destinations for Valentine's Day

Recently, the British magazine Time Out has published a list of 20 romantic cities in the world . These are also ideal destinations for couples before Valentine's Day.

Notably, Hoi An is the only representative of Vietnam on this list.

According to Time Out , Hoi An is famous for its ancient houses with moss-covered tiled roofs, yellow walls, and wooden doors bearing the mark of ancient architecture. The small brick-paved streets and rows of houses close together create a nostalgic, peaceful, and romantic feeling.

Unlike the noisy big cities, Hoi An has a slow pace of life, an ideal place for visitors to enjoy every moment together such as walking, relaxing, and chatting.

At night, Hoi An becomes magical under the light of thousands of colorful lanterns. Boating on the Hoai River, releasing flower lanterns, listening to folk songs... will certainly be memorable experiences for couples in love.

Hoi An is not only famous for its beautiful scenery but also for its rich cuisine such as Cao Lau, Quang noodles... to the famous Phuong bread. Candlelight meals in riverside restaurants or in ancient houses all bring a warm and romantic experience.

It is the blend of history, culture and poetic beauty that has helped Hoi An become one of the most romantic destinations in the world, attracting not only couples but also those who love ancient and peaceful spaces.

According to the People's Committee of Hoi An City, in 2024, the city will welcome more than 4.4 million visitors, reaching about 95% of the plan set out at the beginning of the year (more than 4.6 million) and increasing by 6.58% over the same period. Of which, international visitors are estimated to reach 3.57 million, up 11.43% over the same period. Hoi An tourism in particular and Quang Nam in general are also regularly honored in international awards and polls.
