According to a VNA reporter in Paris, Vietnam's ancient town of Hoi An has just been ranked by the French online travel site Tourlane as the most beautiful historical center in Asia, on par with famous global heritage sites such as Krakow (Poland), Avignon (France) or Cartagena (Colombia).

In its announcement in early September, Tourlane evaluated old quarters based on four criteria: walking space, age of formation, cost of visiting and popularity on social network Instagram.

With the advantage of a well-preserved 16th-century old town, an entrance fee of only about 2 euros (2.36 USD) and convenient walking space, Hoi An has surpassed many competitors to top the Asian rankings./.
